Great Bloody Mary's and delicious smoked salmon chowder. I was not thrilled by the number of dogs allowed on the patio. Not what I like.

We visited Manzanita for four days and we spent at least three days visiting this fun and funky bar.

Terrific service, a very eclectic crowd, lots of World Cup Soccer action and great drinks.

The food is basic burgers and fried food, but it hit the spot every time.

I am a local that that has lived around here for 20 years and seen the San Dune go through many phases, but this latest phase, well for the last 10 years, has been top notch, particularly since they changed the menu a few years ago to include more healthy options. The fresh grilled fish salad and tacos are delicious. Also they have THE best sweet potato fries EVER! They make their own salad dressing there too and the cilantro lime one is fabulous.

The service is always quick and efficient done with a smile. (Except during live music, and even then they are very good!) Live music is usually every Saturday night and sometimes Friday nights. The selections of bands are interesting and always fun. There is outside dinning around back that is very thooughtfully done and protected so even when the wind is blowing on the beach, a block away, it feels welcoming there. (Well… except 8 months out of the year when it is raining, but then they have a roaring fire in the classic stone fire place inside.)

I highly recommend this sweet locally owned and powered place. BEST bar food I have ever had and very wonderful ambiance too. Oh and short walk to the beach to sober up for a while if you need. ;o)

I had a very good oyster wrap at San Dune Pub. The four of us sat outdoors and had an umbrella for shade. I had never had an oyster wrap before and it was breaded fried oysters combined with salad and some dressing. Tasty. Service was good and prices moderate. This is a dog friendly place.

Everything about this place is "just average"...from the service to the food to the beer selection. Not bad, and about the only game in town, but if you don't mind a short drive, check out the Lighthouse just south of town on US 101.
