“Beautiful property, fabulous hosts”
Reviewed 11 July 2008

We just stayed here this past week, and loved our experience. Liz and Jacques are the most gracious hosts, and Jacque's breakfasts are *fantastique*! We had a buckwheat crepe-based quiche with ostrich egg and ham, an amazing fruit salad with figs, berries, mangoes, pineapples, and kiwis, and freshly baked croissants.

The B&B is very close to downtown McMinnville (5 blocks), and nicely appointed with Tuscan accents. We stayed in the "Napoli" room which had a newly renovated bathroom with dual pedestal sinks. The B&B also has a really friendly chihuahua who hangs out with guests if you want. :) This is a great place to stay if you need a launching pad for exploring Willamette Valley wineries.

My husband and I stayed at A'Tuscan B& as part of a week long anniversary trip to Oregon. We stayed three nights in the Napoli room and had a magical time. The property itself is gorgeous with no detail left undone. Jacques and Liz are extraordinary innskeepers and we could tell not only are they good at what they do, they LOVE what they do. Jacques' culinary skills were unmatched by any other B&B we've stayed - ultra gourmet breakfasts and coffee - and as a certified sommalier, we also gave us tremdendous recommendations on certain wineries to visit in the area. Overall, a wonderful experience and if we ever do decide to visit McMinnville again, this will be the only choice of accomodations. Fabulous!

This was our first visit to Oregon wine country, and we couldn't have been more pleased, especially because we were fortunate enough to stay at A Tuscan Estate.

We stayed in the Napoli Room, which was a nice size and had a large two-vanity bathroom. The property has been lovingly restored and is centrally located to the historic downtown area (an easy walk). Owners Liz and Jacques Rolland were very hospitable and always willing to help with a restaurant reservation, directions, etc.

The REAL STAR of A Tuscan Estate is the complimentary breakfast cooked by Jacques, who is an unbelievable culinary talent with 40+ years of experience in the kitchen. Every morning we would wake excited to learn the menu for the day. This is not just eggs and bacon folks...this is the real deal! Baked mangos, homemade flan and croissants, ostrich egg quiche, the list goes on and on.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this establishment and would definitely visit again and recommend to family and friends! Bon appetit!

My husband and I enjoyed a great, athough short stay at the "A Tuscan Estate" Bed and Breakfast this October. Liz and Jacques were wonderful hosts and made us feel very comfortable. The Inn has 4 rooms and an annex building. The Inn is a short walk to downtown McMinnville's historic area that contains a lot of shops and restaurants. It's also very convienent to the Willamette wine region and a good "home base" for several days of wine tasting.

Jacques has a very impressive culinary background and uses it to make
decadent breakfasts. It looked like so much to eat, but actually
was the perfect amount. Cake for breakfast! Can't beat that! I believe that you can also have him cook you a personal dinner which I
am sure is a great treat.

We'd highly recommend the A Tuscan B&B!

My wife & I stayed at the "Tuscan" this past August for five days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owners , Liz & Jaques Rolland, are excellent hosts. The location in McMinville,Oregon is in the heart of the Willamette Valley , i.e.Wine Country, and probably speaks for itself. The "Tuscan" is also located within easy walking distance of McMinville's Historic District. We rented the "annex" for our stay so this meant we could do our own cooking. The rooms in the main house looked very comfortable & well kept. The culinary highlight of our stay here was Jaques's private five course French style dinner. It is not cheap but I seriouly recommend it. We highly recommend the "Tuscan" for a stay in the Willamette Valley. You will not be disappointed.

We had the pleasure of staying at Leslie's wonderful B&B during the first week of July. Our suite accomodations were beautiful and very romantic. The entire house is filled with treasures that Leslie has collected over the years. Our two night stay was truly "magical", and we look forward to visiting again. Plus Leslie's breakfasts were really delicious ... the french toast with peach melba sauce (served by Leslie's cute daughter Cheyenne) was delish!
