I booked my reservation at Le Puy as a gift for our weekend in wine country. Lea and Andy were fantastic hosts from our very first correspondence. The property is beautiful and the owners knowledge of the area as well as their thoughtful recommendations were appreciated as a compliment to my relaxed traveling style. Highly recomended.

Room Tip: If you love an in room spa - pick the "Lake."

My husband and I had a lovely 2 night stay. Rooms were comfortable with great views. Breakfasts were quite tasty and we had a pleasant conversation with Lea and Andy every morning. The location is also fantastic for tasting all over the Willamette Valley.

Just outside of Newberg and the the midst of a number of world-class wineries, Le Puy is a great place. We stayed for a couple of nights, and Le Puy proved to be a great base from which to tour Oregon's wine country. Good sized rooms and a wonderful breakfast. Andy and Lea were great hosts, helping us plan our days, making dinner reservations, suggesting more scenic back routes, and even making recommendations on which wineries would have the nicest views.

Room Tip: Views from the second floor are more expansive.

What a wonderful change from hotels! Our experience was truly fantastic. Peaceful, relaxing, first class accommodations, wonderful views and an attention to detail that we haven't experienced in even the best hotels. Andy and Lea were perfect hosts. The breakfasts were out of this world! Location was great to visit lots of wineries. Cathy & I highly recommend Le Puy and will be back on our next trip to Portland wine country.

P.S. Take time to sit by the fireplace while listening to wonderful classical music and reading a good book...truly relaxing!

Not only is this inn perfectly located, it is superbly well run. Leah and Andy are gracious hosts who leave no detail unattended. The facilities are lovely, and the breakfasts delicious. Without a doubt, though, the highlight of the weekend was the catered dinner that they arranged with a local winemaker. The weekend was perfect, thanks largely to Andy and Leah--they even arranged for sunny weather!

What a find. Reasonably priced for the quality, wonderfully run by Andy and Lea. It was all simply fantastic. Even the early communication shortly after we had reserved the room (emails from Lea while she was on vacation) starting the process of ensuring that our stay would be as memorable and suited to exactly what we were looking for. Those emails resulted in an amazing three-course wine dinner on Friday night, with the wines provided by Utopia winery - in the dining room. All of it (bringing in a chef, arranging the wine pairings, fun conversation and crowd) was masterfully and seemlessly orchestrated by Lea and Andy. The breakfasts were similarly creative with Andy taking the reigns and creating delicious and inventive starts to the day. As an example, the eggs come from the farm next door to the inn. They also assisted in finding us tremendous transportation (with fun and interesting drivers) to shuttle us around wine country. Again, EVERYTHING - from the small to the big - had been thought of and handled allowing us to simply relax. The rooms were well apportioned and nicely sized - we had "Mountain" which was a beautiful suite with a jacuzzi.

If there was one complaint (and it is a small one) we wished they had walking paths on their 10 acre property as walking to hiking areas is inconvenient (there is a busy road nearby that makes it nearly impossible to walk anywhere from the property). Instead, we walked up and down the long driveway to get our excersize. Another option would be a couple treadmills to allow for exercise to ensure minimum weight gain with all the great food and wine . :)

We highly recommend this wonderful bed and breakfast and will be back soon to continue our exploration of Oregon wine Country.

Room Tip: We had Mountain and it was wonderful!!

Thank you for your wonderful comments. We are so glad your vacation was exactly what you were looking for and that you enjoyed our beautiful valley. A note to our guests: be sure to ask us about the best walking routes from the inn. We can direct you to the quieter side roads and up through the vineyards. For those that don't mind a track type of work-out, hiking up and down our driveway is a good exertion as 2 laps is over half a mile. We also have an exercise bike, portable stair stepper, yoga mats and exercise ball for guest use.

We stayed in the Mountain room for two nights in November and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lea and Andy were welcoming and even though we were running a bit late on our arrival time (I called ahead for a heads up) we still felt welcome.
Our room was spotless and every attempt to ensure we were comfortable was made. The bed was a Tempurpedic mattress which made our sleep very enjoyable. The windows had blackout shades so we weren't blasted with morning light first thing. Our room was equipped with a TV & DVD player (DVDs are available in the media room), a small fridge, and a set of cups, wine glasses, dishes, utensils, and napkins. If you forgot your soaps, don't worry because the shower is complete with body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. If your shoes are scuffed, there are also shoe polishing cloths!

The main living areas of the B&B contain a sitting area and fireplace, a library with board games, books, magazines, cards, yoga mats, and lawn games. Through the breezeway outside is an entertainment room with a large screen TV that is connected for cable TV viewing, an impressive DVD collection for use there or in your private room, a kitchen area, and a large sofa. This is a great area to use if you are staying with a large family or group of friends.

Breakfast was served at 9am, however by 7am there was coffee, tea, pastries, and fruit set out if you need something to curb your appetite. During our stay we enjoyed delicious oatmeal scones and for breakfast the first morning the pain perdu with bananas & strawberries and a side of local bacon was outstanding. Most enjoyable for me because it wasn't too sweet. The second morning we had a salmon mousse baked in a puff pastry with spiced baked grapefruit on the side. The breakfasts here are the best I've had at a B&B.

When we made our reservation we selected the Taste of Willamette which was really nice to have waiting for us in our room when we arrived. A local bottle of wine, a selection of two local cheeses and meats, salted caramels, nuts, and crackers. If you decide that you want more wine during your stay, bottles can be purchased from the selection they have on-site.

The grounds of Le Puy are stunning and there are plenty of places to relax. I wish we'd been able to stay longer and my only hope is that sometime in our future we will find ourselves visiting again!

Room Tip: The B&B has 3 rooms upstairs and two rooms downstairs, so it's important to keep in mind tha...
