“Best B&B Ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2014

If I could give this inn more than 5 stars, I would. We recently stayed 7 nights at Le Puy and got to experience two of their unique rooms--"Heaven" and "Air"--both with views of the Chehelam Hills. Lea and Andy are wonderful, gracious hosts and their inn is perfect--a great central location for wine tasting, beautiful rooms with every convenience, delicious gourmet breakfasts which were different every day, perfectly groomed landscaping, and an overall relaxing ambiance. We are anxious to return!

Green Features: We were impressed that Andy and Lea had an electric station for electric cars to recharge and they grow much of the vegetables and fruit used at the inn.

Three nights at Le Puy and we would have loved to stay longer. Lea and Andy (architects) have created the perfect B&B. The setting is up on the hill with landscaping that could be in a magazine and a garden that provides fresh flowers for the rooms and fresh herbs and vegetables for breakfast. The building is lovely - once a private home. The rooms are very modern/zen with high end finishes and wonderful, thoughtful touches including all the utensils you would need for a picnic, local chocolates to taste and wonderful bathrooms. We had a room on the front of the house and the view was amazing - especially at sunset. Andy seems to be the chef. He has the coffee ready at 7:00 and breakfast - gourmet quality with fresh juice - is ready between 9:00 and 10:30. Lea is a wealth of information about local restaurants and wineries. She often can give you a card for a free tasting or make a reservation for you at one of the small high quality wineries.

Room Tip: We stayed in Mountain which is a large room with its own hot tub. Getting to this room does involve...

We spent three glorious nights at Le Puy and our stay could not have been any better! The inn itself is gorgeous and is enhanced by the beautiful setting. The outside gardens, as well as the inside common areas and terraces, provided us with a variety of places to rest and relax. We stayed in the "Water" room and loved it! Sipping organic coffee on our private terrace each morning with a stunning view of the Chehalem Ridge...need I say more? The bed was very comfortable with a variety of pillows and fine linens. Our room was immaculate as was the entire inn. Great pride is taken to ensure that the property is pristine. As former architects, Lea & Andy have thought of everything you would want or need to make your stay amazing ~ roomy closets with shelving cubes; light filtering shades; a heated bathroom floor; comfy robes & slippers; cheese board; picnic supplies; wine glasses...it's all there! Every breakfast was scrumptious and freshly prepared. We are still dreaming about Andy's Belgium waffles and crepes!

From the time I made the reservation, until we departed the inn, I was extremely impressed with the communication from Lea. Several emails were sent before we arrived and they contained a wealth of information about the Willamette Valley. Lea made dinner reservations & arranged appointments for us at several top wineries. She arranged a "Hike & Sip" in the valley and made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy a picnic that day. Our daughter wanted to surprise us with a gift basket upon our arrival. She called a week or so before our visit and Lea helped her choose items for the perfect basket. We were thrilled, and our daughter so appreciated Lea's assistance. Lea & Andy were very willing to help us plan our days in the valley and their knowledge of the area is extensive. It is clearly evident that they want their guests to thoroughly enjoy the time they spend in the valley. We have stayed in a variety of inns/B&Bs both here and abroad, and Le Puy has been our favorite. Andy & Lea have set the gold standard for hospitality! Our three days there left us feeling totally relaxed and rejuvenated, and we are anxious to return in the future!

Room Tip: The "Water" room's terrace is awesome!

We stayed at Le Puy in August 2013 in the Thunder room. We had a our own private balcony, excellent view in the valley, and took advantage of the extra offerings Lea and Andy had to offer. We chose to have the best of Willamette waiting for us when we arrived which gave us something to snack on our entire trip. We also chose to do a wine hike where they did an excellent job of having a iced backpack full of goodies along with a wine tasting itinerary for us. It was one of our favorite activities from our trip. Breakfast was also fantastic with fresh local ingredients on the menu each morning. A place we cannot wait to go back to.

Lea & Andy were great host for an excellent stay in the Valley. The setting, location and atmosphere were a perfect backdrop for our stay. Only wish was that we were closer and could come back more often. Would recommend the Inn to anyone looking for relaxed and peaceful stay.

I agree with everyone who has reviewed this Inn. Spectacular in every way. The breakfasts are fantastic, as are the accommodations, as are the hosts. There is nothing I would change, except we would have stayed longer.

Green Features: They seem very conscientious about environmental issues.

Le Puy was perfect . Great location. Lovely house with all the amenities you would ever need. Friendly and helpful innkeepers. They made dinner reservations for us. They suggested wineries we might like to visit. Told us where we could go to ship wine home. Can't wait to go back!
