I really like chicken fried steak. Its hard to find places that actually take the time to make it in house and not serve a frozen product made in some far off factory. When the server at Huckabee's told me that actually make it in house I was ready to give it a try.
When it arrived I was speechless. It covered an entire oblong plate. The steak was at least a foot long and 6 to 7 inches wide! The meat was tenderized as it should be in a proper CFS. The breading was light and even on both sides. Even though it was griddled instead of deep fried, it was cooked to perfection. The sides of mashed potatoes and steamed veggies occupied a separate plate. Amazingly tasty CFS along equally good gravy. This was a comfort meal at its best.
The establish appears to be in a recycled Chinese food restaurant with so so furnishings. But don't let that stop you, you are going for the food, not the paint job!!
I definitely will go there again.
