Room is fine, spacious. New carpeting was being installed, so Hallways smelled awful and room numbers were taped on doors.
We splurged for a Jacuzzi in the room (not whirlpool tub in bathroom) and sadly, it wasn't worth it. Jacuzzi motor was too loud to use. So we paid extra to have a tub. In the room next to the bed. Oh well.
Walking distance to good diner called J's (next to Shilo Inn) and has a large pool and ample parking.

Front desk folks, Housekeeping and managers were all nice and attentive. I'd stay here again.

Room tip: Ask for a room in the rear of the hotel by the parking lot. The front rooms are loud due to highway.

Mookie1k,
We deeply apologize for our renovation we have going on. We will be looking into the jacuzzi room you stayed in right away. Thank you for notifying the hotel of this issue.

I've been a member of best western rewards for a long time and accrued a ton of points which I rarely ever use; I had a bunch of visitors at my house this weekend and ran out of sleeping space so I cashed in some points for a free room night at this property. When I've used points to pay for previous nights at other properties they stick me in some lame room that people wouldn't want to pay money for, not here! I got a room with two queen sized beds and a large sitting area, it was super spacious and very well decorated in a modern fashion; if I didn't know any better I'd say that this was a brand new hotel! It was surprisingly quiet too, if I hadn't seen other people in the common areas I would have thought we had the hotel to ourselves. All the staff members I came in contact with were really friendly, always smiling and polite. The internet was super high-speed, we had multiple devices going without any hiccups; and the breakfast was amazing! I have a thing for homemade waffles and they have one of those things to make your own, they even had blueberry mix :) There were only two of us in the room but I felt like it could easily fit 6 people comfortably with leftover space. Whenever I need to get out of the house I think this will be my new go-to place :)

Room tip: There is an option for rooms with a sitting area, I'd go with that if I were you:)

If you are looking for comfort, quiet and clean, this Best Western rocks. If you are looking for a breakfast to match and/or complete the guest room, forget it. Costco reheated...needs some TLC. Not much to choose from in Newberg, but there is also a Best Western in Tigard.

In town for a family gathering. Received a group discount that saved approximately $30.00 per room. The hotel is being updated. There is a very strong smell as soon as entering the hallway (disinfectant. construction chemicals?). The desk attendant upon arrival was courteous. The continental breakfast was ok, but nothing special. The counter space seemed limited, so it appeared crowded. It was nice to have something quick as we hit the road home.

I've stayed here 3 times for work over the last 2 years because I had to. Had I been paying, I'd have left. On one visit, a meth-head asked me for $5 in the lobby. On all visits, the breakfast room was dominated by groups of unfriendly construction workers who appeared to be living in the hotel for work. This hotel is pretty scummy. The heater in the room turns on like a jet engine. I didn't shower in the bathroom because quite frankly, I was grossed out. If you're in the area to wine taste, you'd be much better off staying at The Inn at Red Hills in Dundee, it's marginally more expensive and way nicer - and a much better location.
