I booked a two queen deluxe suit for my fiance and two year old son for one night. The reviews and pictures made it look fantastic..however we got there for them to say we booked a standard. We went to our room to find a dirty q tip, dirty counters and worst of all stained comforter. The table lamp was old with rust and heater was broke. When I called to the desk they said the stains were from 'water' and they would call back about upgrading rooms. An hour later we went to the desk and said forget it were going elsewhere. Not once did one employee or manager apologize. My son was tired and hungry and we had to find another hotel. Called the hallmark.right down the road. Great rooms, great service, very clean and the pool was awesome. We will be staying there from now on. I highly recommend it.

Large, clean and recently-updated room with spectacular ocean view. Appreciated the comfy beds. Building D had just one elevator that always had a wait. Restaurant and cafe were convenient, but I do not recommend the eggs benedict. Excellent location on the Oregon coast.

Nice updated room with fridge, microwave, table and comfy beds. Nice view, no decks (but in November who cares!). Rooms seemed sufficiently sound proof. Would have liked a hot tub or sauna and/or fitness center. Free wi-fi worked fine. Lounged with 5 year old in 3 foot pool, which was a great place for kids and warm enough for leisure. It could have been a bit cleaner (sandy bottom). Kids enjoyed the free hot chocolate, fruit and cookies in the lobby. We really appreciated the extended checkout time offered on Sunday, as we were able to keep the room until 4 at no extra charge.

My family enjoyed our stay at the Shilo Inn very much. The room was very spacious with a great view of the ocean. My 5 year old son enjoyed the 2 indoor pools and wants to go back to 'people's house' (Shilo) again already. We had trouble with the fridge in our first room, but as soon as we informed the hotel staff, they made arrangements for another room with a working one. The water is always hot in the shower, even with 3 of us showering in a row. We will definitely continue to make return trips to the Shilo Inn at Newport.

Stayed at the Shilo for 4 days.
Location of the hotel is great for the ocean view.
Ocean Spray suite was very roomy and is great if you have a baby.
Spent a good amount of time in the shallow pool it was warm and didn't smell like clorine the larger pool (3 to 8 ft) has a very strong chlorine smell to it so we couldn't swim in that one.
Hotel guest service was very pleasant to talk to and deal with.
Unfortunately there covered parking in the hotel leaves for a great spot for thief’s to prowl around and get what they need from the vacationers, all my cold weather gear and waders stolen out of the back of our truck when it was park in the covered parking in the hotel.
There covered parking area is ideal for thief and this sort of thing to happen, one way entrance and not the brightest at night no surveillance cameras or security guards at night.
The Hotel and guest service was nice though
