What a great experience! When we checked into our room, we were thrilled. The view was fantastic, the beds were so comfortable, and the room was very clean. I especially loved that the beds had double sheets - the kind that go over the comforter as well as under. What a neat idea! No worries about germs on the beds here...I wish all hotels would start doing this. The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient and made us feel welcome right from the start. And we can't say enough about the gourmet mac & cheese...Yum. Four Stars!

From the moment of check-in until I left two days later, I could not have asked for a better experience. The staff was friendly and efficient, the room was immaculate and well appointed, and the restaurant served me very well. Also hard to beat that view! Amazing!

This was my first trip to Newport. It was a bit stormy and the winds can sure kick up in a hurry. But I like the location. The wi-fi comes in handy and it's nice to complete the day's reports on my laptop while watching the waves. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful, giving me directions to the companies I had to visit. The coffee maker didn't work but they brought a new one to the room right away and even threw in a couple of extra coffee packets. I wish it had a fitness center but it was nice and I'll stay there whenever business takes me to Newport.

Our stay at the Shilo Inn in Newport was the best!! The staff took care of all requests very professionally, room was clean and two swimming pools to choose from. We loved the beach and the view of the sunset from our room was beautiful, something we will always remember. We will return.
