Our Deluxe King Studio gives a good first impression. Latest boutique decorating theme, fireplace, sitting area, deck chairs on the balcony. Upon closer inspection however, the details miss the mark. The toilet seat that we so loose I had to tighten the retaining nuts myself, the refrigerator in a corner with door hinges on the wrong side, no information about breakfast being unavailable until 8:00, (and needing to ask for plates to carry the fruit back to our room).
Perhaps the most disappointing was the view everyone raves about and the reason for staying in an oceanfront hotel - the room to our left jutted out so much that our view was essentially a 90 degree view and the view we did have was obstructed by a 2x6 railing at eye level when sitting down on the deck or in the room. The TV stand is placed off-center to the bed and does not swivel so you wind up turning the entire TV, an accident waiting to happen. The appreciated French press hot water kettle must be moved to the top of the microwave because the plug is too short, yet the coffee service is next to the microwave.(We have the same kettle at home and the cord is easily twice as long,)
"Deluxe"? Perhaps i watch too much "Hotel Impossible" and am nit-picking. But compared to the outstanding Cannery Pier in Astoria, this falls way short of what I believe it claims to be.

Room Tip: Make sure the view is 180 degree and bring food for early morning.

Malcolm,

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We appreciate any and all feedback and understand the importance of listening to our guests so that we can further improve our facilities. You brought up some very valid points about the room you were staying in, where we can focus our efforts to improve the overall guest experience. We do also offer a nice variety of room options in different locations of the hotel and I do wish that we had known of your concerns with the view early enough in your stay to have been able to relocate you to a room with the view you were expecting.

I would also like to apologize that the information about, and the hours we offer freshly baked scones and fruit in the morning was not better relayed to you. This is a new feature that we have started offering as a morning "kick-starter" for our guests, where-as we have the fresh baked cookies we offer in the afternoon. For Breakfast, we refer our guests to utilize the Breakfast room service option provided by Cafe Stephanie, which allows you to have breakfast delivered directly to your room starting as early as 7am.

We certainly hope that we have to opportunity to host you at our hotel again in the future so we can show you the stay that you expected.

This was our first trip to the Oregon coast. My daughter had just graduated from the University of Idaho with her masters degree. My husband and I had never been to Oregon so we decided to do a road trip to there. Oregon is a breathtakingly beautiful state. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Debbie, for helping make these displaced southerners feel so welcome. We had a beautiful 2 bedroom unit, ocean front with a nice gas fireplace and balcony. My daughter was happy to see the French Press and the coffee provided. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and the Inn was beautiful. We were there only one night, but the property is beautiful, the views amazing, the accommodations first rate. Everything we could ask for was provided. We would have loved to linger for a few days, but we were on a road trip with a time schedule to meet. We were there the week before Memorial Day weekend, so the tourist season had not begun yet and the Inn was not crowded. I would have liked to explore the area more. I would definitely recommend staying at the Inn at Nye Beach to anyone looking for first class accommodations in Nye Beach

As first time visitors to the Orgeon coast, we really loved our stay at the Inn at Nye Beach. We were impressed with our room (1 bedroom king suite) - very spacious for a young couple and we loved that we had views of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse from our room's sitting area/deck. Traveling in late May when it was still a bit chilly, we really enjoyed sitting by our fireplace and watching the lighthouse turn! The staff were incredibly friendly, and we loved the coffee and snacks in the reception area (morning scones from the local restaurant down the street). You can't beat the location - a long staircase down to a wide beach, perfect for runs and strolling with great views of Yaquina Head. If you're ambitious, you can walk to the end of Agate Beach for great beach combing. It's also a quick walk to the shops at Nye Beach and plenty of restaurants/coffee shops. We spent a day traveling south on 101 to see the vistas, sand dunes and sea lions and a day traveling north to see the other beach towns (all the way up to Astoria). Couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay at the inn - great for spot for relaxing and a home base for exploring!

Definitely ask for the 3rd floor if available as the view is terrific and if other people are staying in the other rooms, you don't hear the footsteps above you. It is a combination solar and electric lighting. Had a little problem with the solar lighting but the staff responded promptly. The room is long and narrow so that everyone has a small deck area facing the ocean so all rooms have great view. Love the small living area with the dining table and small table top stove/sink/refrigerator; all the basics. Very clean. The parking garage is "tiny"; you need a compact car to park there and it is limited spaces but you can park on the street in front of the inn. The steps down to the beach are a little over 100 steps but the sand is great for walking and the ocean is totally enjoyable. You can walk a long ways on the sand both ways on the beach. Very enjoyable place to stay; Will definitely stay there again. We didn't get scones, but did get the free coffee for the French press and it was delicious.

Room Tip: Ask for a 3rd floor room, they are the best in order to avoid hearing running or footsteps from peop...

We spent our 30th anniversary at the Inn and the staff, the room, the view, and their willingness to help out, answer questions, make recommendations, etc was the absolute best we have ever experienced and the cost was very reasonable. If you want a great place to stay on the Oregon coast and especially in Newport there is no better place then this!

Room Tip: The king studio is great fore a couple

Top notch in every way. It was like a suit. The staff were friendly. It was super clean, had a gear selection of pillows. Very comfortable. Only improvement, full length mirrors would have been nice. It was great to have beach access. It was like my little home with my own private beach.

Stayed at Inn at Nye Beach for two nights in May. Great views from deck; we stayed in #36 on the northwest corner and the only problem was the balcony was very small compared to other rooms, so there was very minimal space for deck chairs. We actually didn't have chairs on the deck, although the room below us did. The room(s) were huge, very modern and clean. The fireplace was nice - we had to keep resetting every 30 minutes, I guess keeping with their green policy. The Inn was a short distance from some nice restaurants, just down the hill to the south - Cafe Stephanie, Nana's, Cafe Mundo, and April's, we tried them all! There was a nice continental breakfast in the reception area in the am, and some nice outdoor seating to have coffee, etc. I appreciated the balconies on the east side of the building for morning coffee, and to get out of the wind. I also liked that we could buy wine, etc at the reception area for a reasonable price. I thought this was the nicest area of Newport to stay, and the best hotel of that area.
