This hotel was just okay. Nothing to write home about...it was fairly clean, you had to beg for a change of towels, they never had pool towels out, the water was always gone in the workout area, and it was on the outskirts of town. but..I have to say the breakfast was pretty aweosome...a great selection.

Room Tip: We got the top floor on the corner facing away from the highway which helped with noise...

This establishment was dingy and dirty. I could tell the attempt was made to update decor in the small lobby, but the unclean conditions superseded. The breakfast room was small and crowded. One morning we couldn't access the sparse quantity of food and decided to eat out (negating our hope to trim our budget a bit). The next morning, we were able to access the food, but took it up to our room. The guest room was dirty. There was dirt along the corners of the floor and the sofa had large spots on the seat cushions. Additionally, the pillows were so flat, I awakened with a neck and head ache two mornings in a row. We contemplated requesting new pillows, but decided they would be the same. I had to phone the front desk upon arrival to complain about the condition of the bathroom. The toilet had not been cleaned, there was urine and hair on the seat. The bathtub had hair in it and soap scum spots on the faucet and sides of the tub. The woman (Gerrie) at the front desk was friendly, helpful and apologetic, even extending a discount to us; however, the housekeeper who was sent to remediate the situation was non-english speaking and didn't understand my directions to clean the toilet and bath/shower. She sprayed and wiped the toilet seat off but did nothing to the bath/shower. I went to a local grocery store, purchased Lysol wipes and cleaned the bathroom myself. Not something I should have to do for a room that was nearly $150/night with tax. There was also water damage up to 4-5 inches above the floor around the bathroom, which was unsightly and mildewed. We tried to make the best of it, but frankly, it fell well below my expectations.

Room Tip: If you're looking to get a hotel near the aquarium or Hatfield Science Center, go with the Holid...

Purchased 4 nites on a travel site where you pick the stars and don't know what hotel you're going to get. This is supposedly a 3 star hotel, may be it was 15 years ago when it was built but it certainly is not now. Never been updated and is bad need. Poor service. When we arrived at about 5 pm the cleaning crew was still cleaning rooms even though check out is at 11am and check in is at 3pm. There were trash bags laying everywhere around the entrance. Grounds are not maintained. Rooms are pretty clean, but in need of updating badly. Stay was pretty peaceful and quiet but thats probably because the hotel wasn't that full. We paid about $30 per night less than the holiday inn express next door, but the extra $30 per nite is probably worth it as the HI express is brand new. Pool was okay, but constantly out of towels. Exercise facilities are extremely dated. One cycle, one treadmill, and one bow flex, all about 15 years old.

Room Tip: We stayed on the top floor. There are 3 floors. Odd numbered rooms face a grove of trees and even nu...

We stayed at the beginning of August and we were pleased when we arrived to be upgraded to a suite :) I had a nice soak that night in the jacuzzi! The hotel was very clean and my kids enjoyed swimming in the pool. The breakfast was average but was enough to fill us. Would stay here again for sure!

Our room was very clean and the bathroom had to have been recently remodeled as the shower area was spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. We did want to enjoy the cool fresh air and leave our windows open, but the street noise was pretty loud and busy. With the windows closed, it was quiet. The location of the hotel is great. Close to attractions and restaurants. The free breakfast was ok, nothing spectacular. The staff is friendly and helpful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Even # rooms face the street, and if you want to open your windows for fresh ocean air and don'r...
