“Scenic riverfront drive to the oyster farm”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 November 2013

Oregon Oyster Farms is located along the Yaquina River, inland about 6 miles from town. I enjoyed the drive out here as there was no traffic at all. There are great views all along the way. Watch for congestion around Sawyer's Landing as these are working boatyards.

Once there, I took some pictures even though it was kind of a dull day. I don't like oysters - not at all - so did not go in to purchase any, although there was a friendly employee outside who tried to convince me how delicious oysters are :-)

If you like fresh oysters, definitely make the drive here!

“Question answered”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2013

Was told that fresh oysters couldn't be served due to warm water temps, had to find out for myself. Was directed to OOF for correct answers. Inside behind the glass are four shockers moving at the speed of light, the gal that seemed to be In charge answered my questions and then some. Got some shucked fresh oysters from Netart's Bay and felt safe in eating them...could have sat at the picnic table and downed them... They have tobacco sauce, crackers and napkins to go too...quite the sight seeing the oysters in the rough and how it all goes down. Not too far out of the way, in fact not at all, make the trip - nothing wrong with fresh fresh fresh oysters!

“Fresh Oysters!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2013 via mobile

If you love oysters, this is the place! A short drive along the bay and your there. We purchased two quarts, and 12 small in the shell; their small are huge! We put them on a grill in an open fire, watched them sizzle in their own juices, popped them open, put some sauce on and throughly enjoyed them! Even my daughter (who doesn't like oysters) ate four; they were that good!
