We spent one night (unfortunately) on our way south. Dawn greeted us with a warm welcome and a tour of the house. After a busy weekend at the B & B, we had the house all to ourselves. Although we missed meeting other travelers, the peace and solitude we enjoyed was welcome. The home, the grounds and the view were spectacular. The attention to detail that Dawn and Craig put into their home is quite evident; our room was both cozy and relaxing. We enjoyed a glass of wine and, yes, a cookie while we strolled the beach and enjoyed the sunset from one of the overlooks on the property. Breakfast the next morning was served by Dawn while we sat at a table with a beautiful view of the ocean. On our next trip south we will definitely stay at the Ocean House B & B.

First and foremost Dawn and Craig are first rate innkeepers....the cooked breakfasts are Five Star. They are warm and hospitable people. The buildings are impeccable and friendly places.
The walkway to the beaches and lighthouse are unforgettable. The drive into Newport is an easy 5 minutes with a lot to see,,,,it's a major fishing port,,,,very interesting. The huge seals on the docks are a show themselves. Would go back in a Texas minute.

What an lovely place. Perfect room with a great view (see attached). The innkeepers were so kind; they made a breakfast specifically for our long biking journey needs. Towels for the beach, lots of hot water, warm cozy bed, a lovely living room and a patio with a drop dead view. I hope I can go back in the warmth of summer when I can sit on their patio and stare out at the ocean for a million hours. What a treat.

This is a beautiful property, beautifully maintained, by responsive, caring innkeepers.
We loved:
The personal tour of the inn upon arrival.
The complimentary beverages available, as well as popcorn and daily fresh-baked cookies
raincoats and umbrellas available if desired for walks on the beach.
The breakfasts! Superb - both in quality and presentation.
The working gas fireplace in our room
The ocean view, lovely garden, and beach access
Helpful hosts who did everything possible to make our stay the best it could be.

Possible Concerns to consider:
Parking - if you are driving a mini-van, truck, or large vehicle, parking will be Very tight.
After parking -
In the daytime you must walk up a fairly short, but steep hill to access the front door of the inn.
In the evening, you must ascend a steep set of stairs to gain access to the inn from the parking area.

Room Tip: Our room on the second floor was gorgeous, spacious and comfortable. The view of the garden and ocea...

After spending all day in the car driving along the coast on our 2013 West Coast road trip, we took a nice long walk on Newport Beach to relax. Upon arrival at the Ocean House, we were greeted warmly by Craig, the owner. We really like that. Craig showed us around the inn (house) and also gave us some excellent recommendations on restaurants and the local sites to see.

We stayed in the Cottage, which is actually separate from the main house and is very private, It has a king-size bed, which we like and was very comfortable. The Cottage has a fireplace, a kitchen, and a great view of the ocean and the nice back yard/gardens. Relax, unwind, decompress. Aaaah!

Craig's wife Dawn prepared a nice breakfast, and we spent a little time on the large deck with a second cup of coffee before we left to continue down the coast.

I would stay here again, nice accommodations, gracious hosts, and a room with a view.

Room Tip: The Cottage is separate and very quiet, it has everything you need including a kitchen.

We've stayed at a lot of really good B&B's in the US and Europe for us this one ranks at the top.
First...the stay was easy to book and we found the property had been advertised accurately. The innkeepers are professional as well as personable striving to make your stay easy and pleasant - they 'listened' to our request for a dinner spot advising a restaurant that fit our request perfectly. The property was spic and span clean and well maintained, beds comfy, towels fluffy, breakfast hot and delicious. BUT definitely NOT least....the ocean view from anywhere in the house and most spots on the property is spectacular. There is a lovely wrap around porch as well as a couple places on the property that have chairs facing the ocean for a semiprivate viewing of God's spectacular evening show. Another component of a good B&B stay is the other guests all whom we found fun, friendly and genuinely interesting, but not over bearing.

We stayed at Ocean House Inn B&B on a recent trip to Oregon. My husband and I cannot say enough about how great this B&B was. Unlike some B&B owners who are happy enough to give you a bed and breakfast, the proprietors Dawn and Craig, want to make sure you also have a wonderful experience. The inn is not only comfortable with overstuffed sofas, fireplace and an amazing view of the ocean, but there is not a detail Dawn and Craig have missed. Everything from the dreamy linens, beverages and snacks to the amazing breakfast, makes one want to figure out a way to become a live-in guest!
