This place is a popular local establishment and looks every bit of a place called "Pub and Grub". Don't let that fool you. The food is pub grub at its best. The fish and chips are wonderful and the salads, a bargain (as are the drinks). If you happen in on a Sunday night, the rib-eye steak dinner for less than $15 is the way to go.

We had a great date night here while in Pacific City. It's a local dive bar with fantastic food and cold beer. The bartender even fixed me a "surprise" drink and it was great! We were there for so long we had 2 waitresses; the first was nice but not overly friendly, the second was incredible. Best waitress we've had in a long time! Will definitely return the next time we're on the coast.

Locals call this "Sporty's". It's the local dive bar. Standard bar options with beer. Beers need updating. Best night is Thursday night when they have fresh pan fried razor clams. Their rib eye stew is delightful. Watch out for their burritos - the regular size is PLATE size. Order the small, it's still huge.

Otherwise everything here is fried. Salads are out of a bag - no imagination. Cole slaw is okay. Jo Jo's are awesome. It's very much a mixed bag. If you like pool, there are a couple of pool tables. Can be a fun crowd, mostly over 40. It's a quaint drinking town with a fishing problem. So on local nights, Thursday, Friday - lots of tough talking fishermen hit Sporty's.

Don't know if it was the friendly staff's day off, or they didn't like how we looked (70+) but no one said hello. The lady at the bar just kept serving drinks, and there was no one else in sight. The place is dark, dingy and filled with TV sets. We walked toward the back where three separate couples were sitting looking morose. Again, no sight of any staff. So we left. We would never have even gone in with out the high rating on Trip Advisor. The whole place, complete with the pot holes in the parking lot / drive way looks like it hasn't had a lick of maintenance in years.

I'm not sure why this place has such a high score. Interior wise it could definitely benefit from a DEEP scrub. My B.f ordered a ranch burger and half the toppings advertised on the menu weren't even on it.... it was literally just a patty soaked in ranch with lettuce and tomato. Me, a Philly cheese steak. My stomach has hurt since eating there.
