“Food Disappointing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 August 2014

We have always loved this pub! Best location ever. The dory boats are fascinating to watch come in. It has gotten to be a zoo for sure the last number of years, but we have enjoyed the beer and food. There were 8 of us eating lunch Sat. Aug 23, and we were in agreement we missed the old menu, and thought the pricing was pretty darn high. $15 for a cheeseburger and fries is not great, nor was the fish and chips I think was at $18. My clam chowder was nothing special, and not hot, and my daughter was less than impressed with the crab dish she ordered- maybe a fritter, puff, cake? She thought there was lots of filler, little crab. I don't know what is was for sure. It's "the only game in town" pretty much, so people will still flock there, but on our next trip we might settle for a beer and an appetizer to share instead.

“Don't waste your time.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 August 2014

Don't waste your time or money. The food was cold...out of the refrigerator cold and the server was pretty but not so bright! The beer was flat. Will never go there again but plan on going back to the area soon.

“Amazing views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2014 via mobile

We saw a stand at a farmers market in tilamook for this brewpub and decided to come to the one here in pacific city because it was right on the beach. We hit the busy time because it was an hour wait for a table but we weren't starving and the beach was just gorgeous. Cars can drive and set up right on the beach, good place for dogs, surfing and a huge sand dune that is exhausting! to climb. The price was a little much but I was able to buy a six-pack of the brew I liked and we left happy and full.

“Definitely Improving! Great location and cold microbrew!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2014 via mobile

The Pelican appears to be taking its food reviews to heart. They have adjusted the menu to include at least 1 shareable on the appetizers menu - the Duo of Dips, one of which is a great tapenade. They do need to add more pita to the plate. Also added the Turkey Ruben which was also quite good, but could improve with some caraway eye bread. I haven't been back for breakfast so I'm not sure if there's been any improvement or not. The chowder and house salad are always great. Also I have to compliment the bartenders Scott and Dave: they're awesome, knowledgable and attentive even when slammed, which has been the case almost all summer. Definitely go.

“Great brew selection, good food, awesome deserts, incomperable views.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014

This was so enjoyable a place to eat and have a brew that we visited Pacific City twice in two weeks to enjoy the views of Haystack Rock, feast and, have a brew at the Pelican Pub and Brewery.

Anytime we are visiting my brides home town an hour East of Pacific City I plan on a visit to the Pelican....
