My sisters and I stayed here for our first ever Sisters Weekend. The rooms were very comfortable, decorated in a fun artsy way, and came complete with a little kitchen lovingly stocked with some snacks, movies to watch, private bath, and comfortable beds. The location is great, and the views are wonderful. We walked down the block to a little pub for dinner and discovered they were having movie nite! The best part is the lovely dining room and the breakfasts. Mary takes great pride in her food and uses local fruit and products to showcase the area. Both meals were scrumptious to eat and beautiful to look at. Portions were just right with more available if needed. We felt pampered and at home. I had never stayed in a B&B before, and never really wanted to. I was aprehensive about the visit, but left hoping we could make this an annual trip. Mary~you made this trip a real blessing to us...Thank you.

Great stay at the Old Parkdale Inn. I recommend the Cheese Fondue plate. It was yum-o, as were the breakfasts, which were brought to our room each morning.
If you bring your dog, you get a cute pet welcome kit - including a dog bed and some treats. Be prepared for your dog to go everywhere with you, be kept on a leash and be put in your car if you want to dine with the other guests - or you can have private dining in your room. Just a heads up.

We had a very relaxing and hospitable stay with Mary at the Old Parkdale Inn this past weekend (10/13-15/2006). The Georgia O'Keeffe room was a captivating part of the experience; the view of Mt Hood out of the suite's windows -- breathtaking! We had never felt that close physically to the mountain -- great view! The bed was very comfortable; the room -- a good "home away from home." Mary's manner put us at ease and at home right away. Her local knowledge helped us find the best fruit places to visit -- we came away with many delicious apples and pear -- and wine. My husband and I would come back anytime we planned to be in the area. We highly recommend a stay here for a superb B&B experience -- good food, good lodgings, great surroundings, and great company, including Tilly!

My wife and I stayed here in mid-August, and it was truly a delight. Parkdale is a quiet, non-tourist town only 15 miles from the Columbia River and the town of Hood River. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were fantastic. Mary, the owner and hostess, is a delight to talk to and has many recommendations for local scenic routes and places to visit. We also had a great view of Mt. Hood. If you're looking for a peaceful place and great food, Old Parkdale Inn is the place.

Mary rolls out the red carpet with personality – the ultimate hospitable, easygoing and down-to-earth hostess who couldn’t have been more accommodating. The clean and well-maintained rooms in this quaint B&B are individually artist-themed and decorated with character. Our “Monet” suite provided a comfortable living area with sofa bed, cable TV & VCR, adequate dining space and ample, well-equipped kitchen facilities including mini-fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker with amenities such as complimentary coffee, tea, beverages & microwave popcorn. The bedroom is creatively decorated with delightful wall paintings and furnished with a bed suitable for Goldilocks. Off the bedroom is a private balcony overlooking the inn’s lovely, manicured garden and tranquil pond. Top this off with personal touches such as comfy his and hers robes, soothing towels and plentiful pillows to make you feel right at home. Ironing and laundry facilities are available which I consider a bonus at a B&B.

Mary prides herself in providing her guests with varied, well-balanced breakfasts and during our 3-day stay she did not disappoint. Breakfast each morning was both delectable and satisfying. We savored a diversity of fresh fruit, yogurt, baked apples, waffles, french toast, eggs benedict and sausage topped off with juice and fresh-brewed coffee. Not to be missed is her homemade granola! You could have breakfast delivered to your room but then you’d miss out on captivating conversations.

You’re welcome to lounge in the gardens, on the deck, in the entry-way sitting area where you can peruse local & historical material or relax in the roomy attic stocked with books, videos and games.

For the more adventurous traveler pamphlets on points of interest and area attractions are available in the foyer. In addition, Mary is both very knowledgeable and helpful in guiding you in the right direction, whether it be the community flavor of Parkdale just a short stroll from the B&B or the neighboring area.

This B&B is located in a relaxed, peaceful locale with the surrounding vicinity abundant in nature’s splendor and outdoor activities, a variety of wineries, an assortment of wonderful orchards, farms (they’re alpacas-not llamas) and plentiful fruit stands, spectacular rhododendrons, not to mention magnificent Mt. Hood that seems within arms reach.

It was by far the most pleasurable experience we've had at a B&B, greatly attributed to Mary’s winning personality and dedication to being the definitive innkeeper - thank you for a memorable experience.

We happened upon the Old Parkdale Inn as we had decided to not stay in Government Camp Huckleberry Inn. Mary had 2 rooms available for us. We used the Monet Suite and the Gauguin room. The Monet suite has a nice bedroom with queen bed. Litttle balcony overlooks the garden. Monet also has a living area with a Hideabed and kitchen area which would be ideal for a longer stay for a family. the Gauguin is a large bedroom with a small balcony overlooking the garden as well. Each room has a TV and vcr. Mary served a full breadfast of Scones for the first course and then french toast sausage and fruit to top it off. The view of Mount Hood above the pear orchard in the foreground is wonderful. We stay in B&B's often and rate this one excellent.

I stayed in the Monet Room and couldn't have been more comfortable anywhere else. Mary Pellegrini is a helpful, accommodating hostess. She serves a great breakfast, always to your liking, and offers wonderful advice on what to do and see in the area. The Inn is spotless, while maintaing the charm and warmth of a B & B.
