Becoming one of our favorites to go to because of the Homemade chicken soup. It is full of chicken and homemade noodles..YUM!! The Peach Ice Tea was a nice compliment to the meal. During our recent visit, our waitress Reena was awesome. We also got a chance to speak with Amy the owner. Thank you for coming and chatting with us.

“Fabulous homemade food. Shabby looking but clean and excellent,”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

This is my favorite restaurant to stop at, when traveling between Boise and Seattle (or Portland). The homemade chicken noodle soup tastes as though a farm grandma made it. I love their Cobb Salad; it's chock full of goodies. My husband loves the Reuben sandwich; the corned beef is not at all fatty. Portions are generous and service is fast. The only downside, the building and the furnishings are very worn. But, if you like good old fashioned homemade food, and don't mind the worn look, this is the place to eat, when traveling

“Cayuse Cowgirl Jalapeno Burger is AMAZING”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

All of their burgers are wonderful but these one hit me with so much flavor. It has locally made Candied Jalapenos and a wonderful Pepper Jack cheese with their amazing bun and grind of meat it makes a super special burger!

“OK, but not great”
Reviewed 9 April 2014 via mobile

We stopped at Roosters on our way from Boise to Vancouver for lunch. It was a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant traffic was good, unfortunately our server was a bit distracted. My wife and I ordered the steak sandwich special, which ended up being steak bits put together in a roll - we felt this was less then accurate and very disappointing. Bathrooms were very dirty, again a disappointment. Each of our kid's meals had more French fries than sandwich, and the actual sandwich was a bit small. Overall, ok but not great.

Thank you for your review! I am very sorry you had a less than stellar dining experience here. I have reread the steak sandwich menu description and feel we may be giving the wrong impression of the sandwich as it is not clear that the item has 6oz of beef medallions rather than the whole cut you may have been expecting. I will be changing the description today. We have two sandwiches on our kid's menu, a PB&J and a grilled cheese which are both served whole so I'm unsure how we can make them bigger but am sorry if the fries were over portioned. It's always good to hear the positive reviews but it's important for us to know when a guest leaves disappointed so we have an opportunity to improve. I can assure you that reviews such as yours are taken VERY seriously and each issue is addressed asap. Thank you again!
