Thank you for the lovely, clean place to stay! I cane to Port Orford for a Naturalist class, and this was the perfect room. It has been recently updated, and looked like a mini beach cottage. Sometimes I prefer an older, unique place to stay and this really fit the bill!

We had Room No. 3, with our dog in tow. While the room was a bit small for two adults and two kids, whatever space problems we had were outweighed by the nice staff and perfect location to get to Battle Rock City Park and all the restaurants in town. A 2-minute drive to everything.
The rate was affordable, and we'd go back in a heartbeat. (Nice big TV for nighttime, with lots of channels to find a movie.)

Like the title says (our room was #15) very nice clean quiet not the biggest room but you're only there to sleep right?nice quaint room with faux brass headboard furnishings tha look like someone's own and not typical motel furniture place was fully booked fourth of July but very quiet no disturbing noises manager was very nice polite smiled a lot if ever in town again would be our first choice nice big flat screen tv satellite service with lots of channels big showers only complaint would be water pressure but what hotel/motel doesn't suffer from that nice little motel all with ocean views

Room Tip: Room #15 was excellent

if you are expecting the Taj Mahal this is not the motel for you. It's definitely old but it's spotless, the view is beautiful, the staff was really nice, and it was a bargain. The room is pretty small but it's a great home base.

Everything about this place was BAD--and almost nobody was staying there; one other car.
Dirty, dingy, room; stained towels; plaster chipping off; even the window to the beautiful view of the ocean was grimy.
Norman Bates didn't stab me in the shower, but there was barely a trickle of water coming out of the faucet. . . and when I turned on the sink faucet an explosion of rusty water came bursting out--like the pipes were having trouble . . . uggg. . . and scary.
Also, mapquest directions took me 5 miles south of town; I had to call to find their actual location--and apparently this has happened before . . you would think the owners would try to resolve this . . . I think they just don't care . . I definitely made the wrong choice in Port Orford.

Very nice though not a luxury hotel...for the price, wonderful. Beautiful ocean views, quilts, flat screen tv with lots of channels. Helpful staff. A good choice and not right on the highway like most.

We stayed for one night in January 2013. As it is pretty inexpensive, we didn't expect anything fancy, but we did expect clean and basic. When we arrived, we saw several flies in the window but just thought the door was left open when the room was cleaned -- but the flies kept coming (there were apparently maggots someplace in the room as we killed 15 flies that night and there were many more in the morning). We found bags of open chips and fruit peels under the bed in addition to items left behind by other guests. We reported the problem to the manager immediately and even brought some of the "left behind items" to the manager. I am not sure how fluent she was in English as she just kept shrugging and either didn't care or understand. She did not offer a different room. Also, when we first arrived, the smoke detector was beeping as the battery was low. We also reported that and the manager replaced the battery. Apparently there is no maintenance schedule in place. Overall, it is a dump. The stairs had anti-slip tracks that were peeling up. Someone tried unsuccessfully to screw them back down (but the screws were sticking up creating a trip hazard). There was a great view, but the window was very dirty and the flower boxes just outside the window were filled with dead weeds. There are lots of other lodging options in Port Orford so do yourself a favor and check them out!

Room Tip: Bring a can of bug spray!!!!! Sorry for the ratings on the pool and fitness center. I don't be...
