“Too expensive.”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

Service was ok, the room if 4 or 5 people are staying perhaps $230 per night is a good price but we were just my husband and I and is too much, internet said was included in the price but we did not use the internet and was $9.99 for this service even though we did not ask for it, breakfast is included an is ok.

I tried to check in at 1 pm and was told there were no rooms available as they were being cleaned. I then came back at 6 pm and checked in and went to my room. It was a room designed for someone with accessibility issues. I went downstairs and explained that the room assignment must have been a mistake. The check in clerk had a manager at her station and she said no, that is the room you reserved and we have no other rooms. I stated that my reservation was not for an accessible room and she said well that is the only room we have and with your corporate rate you get whatever leftover room we have! I certainly was not informed when I made my reservation that I was going to get a room designed for someone with accessibility issues. I did not feel the staff addressed my concerns appropriately and I will be speaking with our travel agency about discontinuing our use of this hotel.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the accessible rooms unless that is what you want. Not sure how you do that since they...

my son was discharged that day from the hospital after a serous ski accident and was limited primarily to a wheel chair that we borrowed from the hotel. This staff went above and beyond to accommodate us during a very stressful week (four days in the hospital) and a long way from Wisconsin.

We generally prefer Embassy Suites because of the separate bedroom, the evening reception, and extensive breakfast. This hotel was more expensive than many of the other comparable hotels in town, but the quality was not up to the usual standards. There was a very distinctive smell, and the food was just ok. For the money, we could have had a really nice room and similar amenities in other hotels. Just not the usual Embassy Suites experience.

Hmm...We may be Elite Hilton Honors members, but we were given an upgraded suite that faced the runways, light-rail line and a busy road. An investment in triple pane glass windows and sound defeafine windows would help. Another issue; a $10 a night parking fee! The property sits in the midst of vacant land. Our local Embassy Suites does not charge for parking and it is located in a more developed, suburban area.

We really appreciate your candid review of our hotel. If you are willing to send me your contact information I can better explore your concerns. I am especially concerned that you had outside noise penetrating your room as this is not a common complaint. You may contact me @ jim.dodson@jqh.com. Thanking you in advance for your help.

Very much appreciated the quick, on-demand airport shuttle service! It was nice to know that the shuttle was on the way and I didn't have to wait long. This hotel is much like all of the other Embassy Suite hotels - we were pleased to be upgraded to a Premium suite. The premium vending on the 8th floor is a very nice option.
Enjoyed the happy hour and the breakfast the following morning. Love the made to order omelets. Staff super friendly and helpful. Short walk to the MAX stop. Little noisy due to airport proximity, but what can you do... Overall great stay.

We stayed here for three nights the first weekend in August while my spouse had a course in their convention area. Our upgrade to corner room, which was very large with its 8 seat board table, was appreciated. The room was surprisingly quiet given that the hotel is tucked between the landing paths of two close by runways. Some may wish for a more updated and trendy interior, but it was clean and comfortable, which are our two biggest priorities.

There are no safes in the rooms but there is a very limited number of safety deposit boxes available via the front desk. Our room has a separate bedroom, comfortable king bed, two TVs, large bar fridge, coffee/tea maker, and microwave but no plates, utensils or bottle opener of any kind.

Breakfast was unfortunately the usual boring affair you seem to find everywhere these days with the very nice twist of having eggs/omelets cooked to order. The advantage of having a real restaurant with an actual kitchen in the hotel.

The hotel can be a little heavy with families on the weekends which is most notable at breakfast and the pool area. There is an outdoor space with loungers adjacent to the indoor pool and a nice gym area, neither of which we got a chance to use.

We found the staff very nice and generously accommodating to our inquiries and requests. The Business Center has dedicated webpage for Airline check-ins. We didn’t make use of the airport shuttle. Our rate included internet, and of course breakfast, but not parking which is our sole complaint. Charging for parking seems a bit tacky when you consider other similar hotels in the area provide it for free.

All in all, a good comfortable stay.
