This was my second stay with Dusty and Stephen in their lovely restored victorian home filled with antiques and curios of the age. Love that they have teas and coffee and ice and fridge for leftovers in the kitchen and accessible as you need it. Just like home. Also love the jelly beans, cookies, and other snacks they leave for you. The sheets are luxurious and the rooms very clean and well kept. And they know Portland. The residential area in NE Portland is close to Alberta's Last Thursday art/music fest, the Lloyd Shopping Center, lots of good restaurants, and other NE Portland haunts. Bathrooms are a bit tiny, and plumbing is a bit unpredictable, but that's an old Victorian for you and part of the charm. I was only sad that I left too early for breakfast.

This is the most charming Victorian B&B. The hosts, Dusty and Steve welcome you to their home with open arms. When you arrive, you are greeted with a tour of their beautiful home, the history of the house and detailed maps of Oregon. They have homemade cookies, pretzels and candy out all the time. The kitchen is open for guests to help themselves to coffee, fancy tea bags , bottles of water, soda and juice. The breakfast is served in the formal, elegant dining room with beautiful china. We felt like very special friends in this B&B. This B&B was a real treat and it was in a fantastic location for touring the city and just walking around.

Room Tip: They all look beautiful.

what a wonderful experience staying at this b and b. the inn is immaculate, the staff and owners exceptionally helpful and friendly. breakfasts just delicious. plus, snacks and drinks always available not to mention how knowledgeable they were in helping us organize our time in Portland, and with an abundance of helpful maps already printed up. we stayed in the lavonna room, very spacious with a sitting area aw well. i would go back in a heartbeat and recommend this inn to anyone.

Room Tip: lavonna was the largest room in the house, with a sitting area and a memory bed.

After two days on the bike, Lion and the Rose was most welcome! Very friendly and accommodating owners and staff, couldn't have been more helpful. Very comfortable room, very good breakfast, and very near good little wine store and a large shopping centre. Will definitely stay here next time in Portland.

Victorian style accommodations adjacent to historic district of beautiful older homes. Morning walks were great. Very clean and neat. Staff very helpful as to what to see and do. Breakfast service was a little overkill.

Stayed one night at this great B & B wish it had been longer. Our hosts were wonderful and extremely organized. They had maps for just about everywhere you wanted to go. The room was great with a lovely bathroom. Nice to have body wash shampoo etc readily available. The kitchen was open with hot and cold beverages available 24/7 and even a fridge for your leftovers. Fruit and snacks were always available. Dusty prepared a wonderful breakfast with special attention to my and my friends dietary needs.Great place and I hope to stay again. Would highly recommend.
