First time to visit during the afternoon and we arrived just in time for the 3-6pm happy-hour menu. We tried the quiche and desert offering for happy hour and a cup of hot chocolate nearly as good as that we had in Paris. No long lines, and we had a table by the front window for people watching (one of my delights). Service was great, as always, and this time was very relaxing without the noise from a full house. We suggest this for a late lunch or early supper, or just an afternoon tea.

A real find in the Alberta District in the City of Roses! This gem is as close as you can get to Provence without actually being there. An elegant menu and wine list combine to create the perfect meal and the desert are over the top delicious. A nice feel to this establishment with live music from a classical guitarist and the sidewalk bistro feel with the windows and doors wide open. If you can't make it to Provence this year, try this "wonder find" in Portland!

Petite Provence is our favorite brunch spot and Portland. We go there EVERY weekend!

There are 4 "PPs" in Oregon--two in Portland, one in Lake Oswego, and one in The Dalles.

The Alberta Street "Petite" is the one to visit!

The staff is amazing! Friendly, helpful and good-looking, too.

To start with, Petite has amazing bakers in the French tradition. Their croissants are the best ever, but they make dozens of breakfast pastries, desserts, cakes, etc.

Their menu definitely has a variety that should delight any palate. Kids are welcome and so fascinated by the cookies, meringues and so on that they're all very well behaved. Perhaps a few bribes???

One does not have to have something fancy. You can just order bacon and eggs if all the menu items sound too much. The staff is also very accommodating as far as adjusting a dish to your taste.

The decor is a clever take on French surroundings, and in good weather, one can dine outside and watch the passing dog-walkers and strollers.

GO! But get there early for brunch! It gets crowded on weekends!

My wife and I LOVE this place. I know that the Division Street is more popular, (4 locations to choose from) but I think that the Alberta Street location is even better. :) I always order the "Salmon Benedict", and my wife gets the "Eggs Provincial". We found this place about 2 years ago, and for the better part of 6 months, it has become a Sunday morning tradition. Wonderful food, staff, and coffee, and a great way to wake up on a lazy (sleepy) day.

OK, Here's the down side. Unless you get there before 9:30 AM, you will have to wait in 10 minute line to be seated. The place is amazing, so be patient, it's worth it.
