Go to their website and see if there is a promotional code there that will save you a bit of money. We saved 5 bucks by quoting their promo code. Got a rate for 2 adults, and 10yo child for $80.95 plus tax.

Huge room, well appointed. VERY clean. Good wi-fi. Room had hair dryer and iron/board. Continental breakfast was good, had make it yourself waffles, plus all the usual cereals, breads, a variety of juices and hot beverages, etc.

Front desk woman was very friendly, helpful and even offered us some fresh baked cookies when we arrived.

The only negative was the noisy rooftop HVAC system. Sometimes it rattled. It wasn't really bad, but if I have to pick out a negative, that would be the only thing.

It was our first time to Portland, and we were referred to this hotel by a friend.
The first impression you get starts from the warm greetings you get from the people at the reception (front desk), they have a warm welcoming and a smile and are ready for service at any time. Jeff, Michelle and another beautiful asian girl who are all very kind and very generous.
The rooms are very clean, smell nice and well arranged and kept.
The morning breakfast is also special with a special warm environment.
They have high speed internet (unfortunately we did not have the chance to use), cable TV, and video rent.
The health spa and jakcussi are good.
My brother, sister and I felt very secure, and you dont feel that you are at a motel at all, the place is very secure and quiet.
I would really advice any family or individual to come and stay at Hospitality Inn, affordable price and nice stay.

The price was right, and the room clean, so why was the feeling as you leave this hotel a sense of relief?

The biggest problem is the main staff person, a smiling but misleading desk clerk named Jeff, who has the critical afternoon-evening check-in shift. You can't trust much of what he says, even though he's smooth and convincing as he says it. We had a 50 person convention staying here over 4 days, so we got plenty of independent experience with Jeff. As a group we triangulated on at least half a dozen passive-aggressive behaviors and misleading statements from Jeff. The women in our group in particular felt he was "weird".

We had to interact with him a lot because the room assignments were amazingly incompetent. Many of our convention were assigned to the wrong room type. Some had to use sleeping bags (3 people and 1 bed)! We were able to straighten out some of the problems ourselves by trading rooms within our group, since the staff was unable or unwilling. If they wouldn't help a 50 person group, woe betide the one-room customer!

The entire 3rd floor smells like smoke so the 2nd is the way to go for nonsmokers. Our 2nd floor room was fine.

The high-speed internet only reaches about half the rooms at best, this is not a place to stay if Internet access is required. But it works fine if you accidentally get one of the right rooms.

The bottom line -- until they get rid of Jeff, improve the internet coverage, and probably change management to discourage the annoying behaviors, you'd do better elsewhere.
