“good way to walk from side to side”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 January 2014

the waterfront park is a very busy park. a lot of joggers, runners and cycling activity going on so as a pedestrian you should pay attention where you go. it's there world, not yours. all in all, it's a nice park, a good way to cross portland from south north, start a little bit after the aerial tram and continues all the way to the steel bridge (which is also an amazing piece). a lot of geese and ducks coming from the water and feel completely free to walk around without any fear from humans. there are few nice cafes and restaurants at the southern part.

“waterfront park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 January 2014

The Waterfront offers beautiful views of the Willamette River and on clear days Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helen's. Its a great place to go for a run, rent a boat or water jets/skis, people watch, catch impromptu entertainment, go to the always interesting Saturday Market (on Sundays, too), or attend one of the many festivals offered throughout the spring, summer, and fall. It is easy access with public transportation and several of the infamous Portland bridges offering walking and biking lanes.

“nice views and a cool place to walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 December 2013

Walking through this park was a neat way to see more of Portland on my short stay. I enjoyed the views of the bridges and the downtown area. Watch out for all the seagulls!

“Kid Favorite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 September 2013

The children loved playing in all the water fountains. Was probably their site seeing highlight of the trip. Bring a swim suit and towel.
