We so enjoy the area with super restaurants, great galleries and delightful boutiques all within walking district. A must for those who like to wander about when visiting Portland.

“Great things to do and beautiful scenery”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

We had booked a trip on the American Empress Steamboat which is wonderful in itself. We flew out a couple of days early and toured Portland. It's a fun place with lots of things to do. We ate at Jakes which had some of the best seafood around. Ended the day with a ride up the aerial tram where we got great photos of the mountains

“Best Neighborhood in Portland!”
Reviewed 17 February 2014

The Pearl has it all! Some GREAT options for dining... anything from simple and cheap to pricey and very upscale, a couple NICE parks for hanging out, Whole Foods for all your grocery needs, Powell's for ANY book you would ever need, and MANY great housing options. If I moved to Portland, I would definitely live in the Pearl! Awesome neighborhood for all ages!

“Fun for an afternoon - over promoted area of town”
Reviewed 16 February 2014

The Pearl is fun, a little funky and more boutiques than you can visit in a day. There are a lot of restaurants, breweries and cafés. The service in the restaurants and cafés we visited over the week was average - at best. Parking can be difficult and the meter maids are everywhere and quick to issue a ticket for a recently lapsed meter.

Overall, a nice place for a quick visit, but Portland has so much to offer, it is hard to see spending more than an afternoon in the Pearl. The streetcar goes to the Pearl and is a fun way to travel.
