We would definitely not give this property the number of stars other reviewers have!! We chose this inn because it was convenient to activities we had, and our kids had also made this choice. It is in a neighborhood of refurbished houses. This property has been for the most part refurbished. The home's exterior lacks attention and the gardens are overrun. The first waft of air inside is of a moldy old home which greatly detracts from the renovations the owners have made.
It was probably a reasonable rate pricewise relative to other Portland properties, but for the money, we got less than any other place on our Oregon vacation. The worst aspect by far was the kitchen. While appearing clean, there was no dishwasher. No paper towels. Were we or weren't we supposed to wash our own dishes for$140 per night. Oh, and where are the napkins?? The same dingy sponge for 4 days...no service in our rooms so had to scuttle around inthe basement looking for clean towels. Oh yeah...ice in half filled trays in basement fridge.
People writing in guest book.were complimentary. Maybe our expectations for $140 per night were unreasonable??????More
