Walked into Bistro 23 to find a chalkboard menu over the counter. Not what we had expected, but SO glad we stayed. The food was phenomenal! Unusual pizzas, sandwiches, starters, and salads with high quality, tasty ingredients. I had the Pig in the Woods pizza. It had local ham, cremini mushrooms, mozzarella, and marinara topped with fresh organic arugula, olive oil, and goat cheese. Drooling just remembering it! My son had a Vietnamese meatball sandwich that he raved about. Had to leave room for the sweet-tart lemon bars at the end. One of our best meals in the Portland area by far!
