Huge room, decent price. Good breakfast, nice staff, free maps, business center, "spa" water available after breakfast. Even the trolley cars were quiet. We had a great time at this hotel. We left behind our phone charger, called them from the airport and it was in the mail at home in 2 days. Full size kitchen, TWO fancy TV's. Nice towels and sheets.

Don’t you just hate it when you leave a cell-phone charger somewhere? We’re glad we were able to get it back to you so quickly and that you enjoyed your stay so much. If and when you’re back in Portland, give us a call!

Our flight was late so we arrived pretty much in the middle of the night, but the front desk was open and the concierge was quite gracious. We were traveling with our 9-month-old infant and they provided a Graco playpen for the room, which was spacious, included a kitchenette, desk, and sofa. Colorful, comfortable, reasonable, and super clean-- we love this place and would come back again in a minute! Breakfast was delicious-- fresh, healthy food and even make-your-own waffles!

Just to be clear, the Graco playpens do NOT include a kitchenette, desk, and sofa—but the rooms certainly do! ;) Just kidding around, of course, and we are always thrilled to help a sleepy family find the rest they deserve. So glad you stayed with us and that you enjoyed everything we have to offer, from the service to the waffles.

It is located in NW Portland, I think one of the only hotels if not the only hotel in the neighborhood. The Portland trolly stop is right outside. We didn't the opportunity to take it downtown because it was delayed due to electrical problems. But the hotel gives free tickets for riding it.

The hotel is within walking distance to some great restaurants (Papa Haydn's is a must for dessert - 30 wonderful selections).

It's an interesting hotel, a boutique hotel (apts converted to rooms). The place is very colorful (literally, the bathroom had a red wall, the bed had green and orange bedspread and pillows, the sitting area had red chairs). It definitely makes this place unique, in a nice kind of way. The room was very spacious, a king bed, sitting area, bathroom, kitchen and desk with large flat screen tv. We had a balcony and window air conditioner. The bed was comfortable, a big plus for me as I often find beds too hard and uncomfortable.

On the down side, I wanted to sleep in and get some rest in the morning, but the place across the street was power washing windows, so the generator motor was annoying.

If you are looking for a swimming pool, spa and such, this isn't the place for you. But if you are looking for a hotel with a bit of character in a great neighborhood with spacious rooms in Portland, this is the place.

For the price, this hotel was just perfect. We stayed several nights in a two bed suite with a sitting area and a small kitchen with microwave, little fridge, sink and dishwasher. We were very comfortable even when our 23 year old son joined us, there was still plenty of room. The air-conditioner is noisy as is the fan in the bathroom, but that was our only little complaint. Our room was in the back of the hotel overlooking the parking lot, so we were able to leave the balcony door open in the evening and not rely on the air conditioner. The large continental breakfast was perfect with enough variety to give us choices over the three days. There is a lovely roof deck sitting area and the neighborhood is totally wonderful to walk in, get a bite to eat or shop. The location is perfect for getting onto the streetcar with provided passes from the hotel. W-Fi is good and it is included.

Sounds like you got to experience all of the things that make the Inn @ Northrup Station so great: the spaciousness of the suites, the surprisingly well-stocked breakfast bar, the beautiful surroundings, and the uncanny way a great stay can bring a family together. Cheers and we’ll hopefully see you again soon!

Free Parking
Free WiFi
Free Trolley Tickets
Free use of grill on the deck
Continental breakfast (waffles, bagels, muffins, nutrition bars, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal).
Full Kitchen
2 TVs
Reasonable price.
Great location for walking about, nearby gas and "Mom & Pop" convenience/grocery store.
Great shopping and eating along NW 23rd.
We left when our group changed from 3 to 5 and went to Embassy Suites Downtown and promptly checked out and came back here and got TWO rooms for just a bit more than it was to also pay for parking and WiFi at Embassy Suites.
Kids all loved the fun and funky atmosphere which is different than most hotels we have stayed in the past.
Daytrips to Mt. Hood & Coast as well as day spent shopping on 23rd.

We arrived at the hotel at about 2:30 PM and the room wasn't ready. Since we had never been to Portland before, it might have been nice if the front desk could have inquired if we had somewhere to go for that time and made some suggestions. Other than that, WOW!!! what a cool place. The breakfast area was really funky. The colours, the furniture, the decor. Loved it. The rooms are superb. Very art deco. Loved everything from the king sized bed to the beautiful kitchenette. The 2 flat screen t.v.'s were a definate bonus.
The 3rd floor patio proved to be the perfect place for a night cap with my favourite person.

The hotel is within walking distance to some very quaint shops and restaurants. It is also on the streetcar line. The front desk provided us with free passes, which allowed us to ride for the day, This was fantastic as we make our way to the Pearl district for dinner. Overall, a fantastic place to stay,

Isn’t that 3rd floor patio great during the warm summer months? There’s even a huge gas grill out there for guests to use—something to remember for next time in case you don’t feel like eating out. We’re so happy you enjoyed your stay and all the amenities the rooms have to offer. Call us again when you’re back in town!

This was my second stay. Great spot in NW Portland at the corner of 21st and Northrup. Just two blocks from all the shopping and good food on 23rd. Paid about $158.00 per night (that includes tax). The rooms are all suites and have beds, small sitting area with a small sofa, chair, coffee table, small kitchen area along one wall that has sink, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Kitchen is stocked with dishes. Sitting area makes it feel like you are not crammed in a hotel room. There is a computer with printer and internet on the second floor.

The decor is "fun" bright colors .... orange, purple, green. Kinda feels like staying in a hotel made for the Jetsons...cartoon. Hotel is clean.

Breakfast is included and is a good variety... bagels, eggs, waffles...fruit. Coffee in the lobby is GOOD. Can't say enough about the staff... they are beyond helpful with directions and suggestions for places to eat.

The trolley stops at the corner so getting around is super easy if you don't want to walk. Trolley can get you to within a couple of blocks of the Max (tram that runs all over Portland and out to the burbs). Hotel will give you free trolley passes.

Starbucks is one block away. Anna Banana (good local coffee spot) is around the corner. Trader Joe's is about 5 blocks. Tons of good eating all around hotel.
