Previously reviewed this hotel and gave 4 stars. Was definitely pleased with first 3 visits. Positive points include great location for freeway and airport access (but crappy in every other respect), nice and spotless rooms, comfortable beds, nice lobby and bfast area, mostly helpful staff.

However just stayed 2 nites and had MAJOR noise issues. Asked for room on top floor away from Highway 84 as i always do. Said that I have health problems and need sleep above all else. Was put next to family with small children. Both adults and children made an extreme amount of noise for hours well into the evening (walked by at 12:30am and they were still going). Walls are quite thin. Enuf that you can hear what someone is saying if they are talking loudly.

Asked be moved to a new room. Was given room facing Highway 84. Road noise was very bad even with ear plugs. Next night, hotel was almost full and there was non stop succession of door slamming in hallway. Doors are very heavy and have powerful springs. If u let it shut, it will literally shake the building. Most people just let the door slam, like they are completely unconscious. I heard door slams at 10:15pm, 10:40pm, 11:00pm, 7:15am, etc.

If you stay here and it's fairly empty and you get a room on backside, and your neighbors are not loud and don't slam doors, you may have a quiet stay. Otherwise, BEWARE.

We stayed here before our drive through the Columbia River Gorge. The hotel is near the interstate and even though our room was overlooking the roadway, we did not hear any noise. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was included and was standard. The front desk staff were friendly and recommended the Asian restaurant across the street for dinner. It was great and very reasonably priced.

Parking at the hotel was a breeze and we felt the room was reasonably priced.

Thought it would be noisy being so close to the express way but we didn't hear any traffic.
We have stayed here twice during site seeing trips of Portland and on the way to the Coast. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and most importantly clean. The bed was comfortable, nice free breakfast.
Over all a great value.
We have stayed in several Comfort Inns and this is one of the better ones.

Located right off the expressway. Ten minutes from the downtown area. Very nice place. Must be brand new because it looks it. Part of the hotel is raised which allows for covered parking *for those of you with a Sweet ride!* Updated lobby area. Decent size pool and hot tub. No weight training in the fitness center. Only a treadmill, bike, and elliptical. Washer and dryer~only a buck each. The rooms are up to date. Brand new (very comfy) pillow top beds, flat screen TV, and mini fridge. Very clean! Good spot to stay if visiting the downtown area but are looking to save on hotels.

Stayed here as part of our U S tour. It was clean, comfortable, and for us a great location, as we wanted to tour the Columbia River Gorge. Room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was good. The swimming pool was a delight. We would recommend this hotel. OK a little bit out of Portland, but easy to drive in. I note that this Comfort Inn was good for disabled people, especially the pool, which had chair to lower into the pool. We would definitely stay here again. Staff too we're friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: If you want easy access to Columbia River Gorge, then this motel is ideal
