“Favorite Hotel at PDX”

This is my favorite Marriott brand,
Hotel was clean and updated.
Check-in was a breeze and the young man at the counter was great.
The room was comfortable and clean.
No noise from the Airport.

If you have to stay near the airport - this hotel is nice & clean as well as more affordable than the Courtyard just a block away. Newly renovated lobby & rooms it appears - rooms are all mini suites with separate sitting & sleeping areas. Microwave & mini fridge are nice touches it you are staying multiple days. Minimal choices for restaurants in walking distance - fast food, subway & local strip mall Chinese & Sports Bar. Drive toward airport to Cascade Shopping Center & you have some chain restaurants - nothing to write home about, but will get the job done.

Will stay again whenever I have to catch an early flight out of PDX.

We stayed in this hotel for a night before catching an early flight out the next morning. We had 5 in our party which the rooms accommodate nicely. We had 2 queens and a pull out sofa, so could easily have slept 6. The bathroom set up allows for 2 people to get ready at a time, with the shower/toilet separate from the sink and counter. The room is very good size, with a separate area for the couch, desk, and counter with a microwave and refrigerator. We were on the fourth floor and couldn't hear any airplane noise, or any noise from our neighbors either. When checking in I mentioned that we had to leave before breakfast service started (4:30 am), and she told me they'd have muffins, yogurt and some cold items available for us at that hour - so we appreciated that. It's very convenient to the airport and they offer free shuttles on a regular basis.

Stayed in this hotel for work, over three days. The rooms and the lobby are fantastic - really nicely done. My room faced the west side and the airplane noise was noticeable, even with the AC on. That's what you get with an airport hotel though, right? My coworker, who was on the east side, didn't notice it nearly as much. They had a nightly reception with apps and wine, which was nice. The breakfast wasn't bad either. The only gripe I really had was parking (rough if you get in after 4:00) and no plugs by the bed! For those of us who use our smart phones as alarm clocks, you know those things need to be plugged in at night after a full day's work. Staff wasn't overly friendly, but not negative. I'd stay there again.

We've stayed at this hotel for 3 nights few days back. On the third floor we don't hear much noice from the airplanes, or it was not noticeable. The noice came from the air conditioner in the room. It was loud. The room was clean. The little kitchen counter, microwave and fridge were very useful. The bed was OK but not super great. There was not enough closet / drawers. I would hope to have more large drawers. The TV programs were standard, with few HD available. The breakfast was standard. The breakfast room was small, and very busy after 7am. There were no enough service people who clean the tables behind customers.
The pool was NOT OK. Water was on the cold side. It was not well maintained. I stood in the pool but couldn't see my legs in the water! The hottub looked dirty, stained. There was no place to change clothes or shower in the pool area. People were in their wet swiming suits in the elevator.
There was only one elevator. It was busy and slow.
Front desk people were nice and OK. It seemed that they didn't have much to do. They left a few free cookies on the counter before dinner time.
The location of the hotel was not so great. There was no way to walk or jog around.
There was not enough parking lots. I had to park in the adjacent hotels for two out of three nights.
After all, I feel that this hotel chain (by Mirroit) was not as good as the Holiday Inn Express. I have stayed in the HIE many times in different locations before. I should have chosen the Holiday Inn which is right next to this hotel.

Lobby renovation - great color scheme and layout, welcoming and peaceful. Perfect to greet and lounge. Room renovations completed awhile ago. Color schemes great, hallways brightly lit. Marriott standard service can be expected. Carpets in need of shampooing.
Room is brite and cheery. Only issue is that for a suite there is only a tiny closet and 1 drawer.
Need to live out of the suitcase for longer stay. The interior designer missed the target on this.
Great and convenient location though parking can be tight on a busy day.

We've never stayed at the SprinHill Suites, normally stick with Courtyard and Fairfield or Residence Inn. This is a pleasant surprise. Well priced with continental breakfast included. We are gold elite member, got free upgrade to a king suite room.

This location is off of a very busy street, so we requested the room at the furtherest end of the hallway from the road. No street noise what-so-ever. Also asked for the highest floor so no noise from upstairs.

Aside from the occasional airplane, which stopped after 11 pm. This location is very quiet. Staff is friendly, room is very clean. Bathroom has separate vanity area, very large and comfortable.

Room Tip: Ask for highest floor, and further down the hall away from the main road if you are a light sleeper.
