The hike to this waterfall is reasonably easy - my 6-year-old was able to do it himself with no trouble, and our boys enjoyed playing on the rocks near the base. The parking lot at the trailhead is quite small - when we first arrived it was full, so we drove to nearby Bonneville Dam and visited the fish hatchery for a little while, then came back and found a spot. Parking is $5, or you can leave your car at the dam area and walk back.
The hike itself is a lollipop - mostly out and back but there is a short loop at the end. It led to a little confusion when my son left the waterfall first and we weren't sure which way he'd gone, but it's nice to have some different terrain on the two types. There are some steep dropoffs in some spots, but the trail was wide-enough and my heights-averse daughter had no trouble with them.
