“Great little spot for breakfast or brunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2014

There is nothing out of this world about cup and saucer, but they are consistent and have a great vibe. You will always be well taken care of and the food is certainly above average for brunch spots in Portland.

“Awesome heathy brunch /breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014

Breakfast in the Portland area is difficult because of all the choices one has. Returning to Portland after a few year's absence, i looked forward to having something healthier and different. This casualrestaurant offers that and more and was just as good as when we lived there. The vegetarian black beans on rice with vegetable will fulfill more than half your daily nine requirements, and so tasty with their salsa. The tortilla chips are made in house. My other choice would have been the tofu scramble. The decor is boho shabby, There can be a wait for a table, bit there is seating inside and out. Our server Ashley was great. By the way, the Bloody Mary was just spicy enough and garnished with celery, lime, and olives. I wish I could find more places like this while traveling. Just one suggestion, maybe it's time to recover some of the booths. Oh, yes, check out the vintage shop and children's shop nearby.

“Breakfast was great, service was great.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2013

All in all we were happy we stumbled into the Cup & Saucer. The hostess was prompt to get us a table, a menu and a piping hot of great coffee. The daily special was an apple & bacon pancake - we had to try that (split between the 2 of us, it was enough to share). In addition we ordered a separate breakfast to share. Food was priced competitively with the many other breakfast places we tried during out visit to Portland. Our waitress was attentive and thorough.

“Best bacon in the world”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 September 2013

This place isn't at all fancy but it serves the best bacon that i've ever tasted anywhere. Nuf said! It's my second visit to the restaurant and I wasn't disappointed. I would return for the bacon. Service is friendly, and they have a newsletter leaflet that's fun to read.

“Best breakfast ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2013

We had breakfast here before leaving Portland and it was unbelievable. We had the vegetarian biscuits and gravy which was amazing and we are not vegetarians by any means. The pancake special that day was strawberry chocolate chip and was by far the best pancake we'd ever had. The strawberries were sweet and juicy which mixed beautifully with the rich chocolate chips. We also loved the breakfast potatoes. They had a great crisp on the edges with an awesome seasoning blend and had a perfect amount of spice from the black pepper. We will absolutely be back on our next trip to Portland!
