This may be the best thing I have ever eaten in my life. The biscuits don't cut it compared to the scone. The pie I did not try,

A must stop for a pastry or quiche. The crust is homemade and delicious. We had the broccoli cheese quiche. Ask them to warm it up and enjoy.

The pies have few peers. Biscuits may be a southern specialty, but these are the best I have had, if you like flaky AND soft. At the shop on Division, Downtown and at the Farmer's market I have only ever had friendly service.

Same experience as the other reviewer and I hadn't seen his review.... ordered an iced tea and lots of ice, weak tea, and refill 25 cents after $2.50 for this drink. Front counter guy totally surly -- clearly this guy's not in the right job. You can get a lot of great pies in this town so I'm only giving 2 stars... you shouldn't have to put up with this kind of attitude in a friendly wonderful city like Portland.

The quiche was absolutely amazing/awesome! My iced tea was $2.50 and contained about six ounces of weak tea - not filled to the top and a TON of ice. Would have complained, but the sole counter guy was so grumpy. The $6 yogurt parfait boasted of "winter compote" but beyond one stringy bite of peach/plum? (too tiny to identify) I don't believe it contained much more than a couple of raisins - not exactly winter compote...... The quiche might just be worth all of the other woes. Cute decor and nice powder room. Cheer up and be a bit more generous to warrant the price and this place could be SRO 7 days per week.
