I love this park. I love to visit when the roses are in full bloom, as they were this year. I also love to visit with some of the local people. I have enjoyed very pleasant conversations with many. It is also fun to watch families enjoying the place together.

Its a very impressive garden with over 300 varieties of flowers, very accessible and professionally cared for. A great presentation for roses and many other species. The park is great for the history behind the City of Roses. Great alternative to all the activities and crowds downtown.

Even better when they are in full bloom, but still a VERY impressive garden and what a view too!! They do tend to have a lot of outdoor weddings, but the place is so big, that hardly detracts, and if you like weddings, heck, it might even make it a better trip for you! :-) ENJOY! :-)

We have heard about these kinds of theaters but have never experienced one until we went to the Living Room Theater. We saw two movies in one day, and enjoyed both of them. They offer mostly independent type films, or documentaries. They also serve food and beverages (alcoholic too) and bring it to your seat. You do need to reserve your seats however, when you purchase your tickets at the ticket window; so go early so you can get a seat. The theater isn't exceptionally large.

My grandparents took me to this place almost daily when I was a child, and while this park has seen some rough times over the decades, it has bounced back to become a vital community center. For me, the heart of this lovely heritage park is its sunken rose garden and fine center fountain...it ought to be the setting for some romantic movie of the 40's or 50's! Brick walls and stairways, shaped trees, and the lovely fragrance of blooming roses...what more could you ask for from this place situated on a boulevard named for the civil rights icon, Rosa Parks?
