We started and ended our week in Oregon at this hotel. The main reason we chose it was its closeness to the airport. It was a really great choice. We had a very late arrival and the first night we stayed here before beginning to travel around the state. Check in was easy and breakfast had a very wide variety of choices including fresh fruit which is my favorite. We came back for our last 2 days before heading for home. The hotel is 1 & 1/2 blocks walk to mass transit which takes you any where you choose in Portland. Portland has a lot of traffic and we preferred not to use the car in the city. Again we enjoyed the breakfast and 2 days we used the pool which was great in the hot weather Portland was experiencing. When we were ready to leave the airport was less than 3 miles. A very easy trip even in rush hour traffic.

Started and finished our trip to Oregon at the Pony soldier. Using Trip Advisor, I stayed here in Feb. to start a ski trip with nephew. I am now hooked. Whenever I come to Oregon, (my nephew is stationed on coast for Coast Guard) and I will this is my point of entry and exit to Portland. Great location , easy shuttle to and from airport, great staff, that goes out of its way to make you comfortable. Free laundry to use, great breakfast, clean,( a bit more than I usually pay to stay ) but amenities, location and brfst make it all well worth it.

This is a great place. The room was "roomy" and clean. Very good breakfast and the price was reasonable. The next time I go to Portland I'll be staying here again! The front desk staff was efficient and friendly.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the back side units as you'll get a view of a trailer park that appears to be just...

We booked this motel because of the vicinity to the airport. We were not disappointed. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with hot and cold choices. The staff was very congenial. The area has a lot of traffic but we didn't hear much even though our room faced the main thoroughfare. There doesn't appear to be many restaurants in the area except for a diner type establishment next door.

Smoke smell, like old man who smokes! But fortunately, the room didn’t smell. Window opens! 216 overlooks pool good size pool-doesn’t look clean though. Large courtyard area. Quiet! Trains and traffic in distance muffled. One light control on king size bed so other person has no light control. TV sideways so you have to lie on side or twist your head to the side. Bathroom has ugly flickering fluorescent light. Showerhead adjustable. Lotion in basket was already opened! Breakfast offered cereal, breads, fruit, coffee, saw waffle maker, eggs, soggy potato and meat. As vegan all I could eat was bread, peanut butter and jelly. Coffee not good-tasteless! Fruit was good. No soy milk. Oatmeal pre-pack available. Exercise room with bouncy treadmill, good elliptical, couldn’t get bike to work, circuit weights, free weights, TV in room, sauna-scary if someone used it and had issue, it’s tucked away in a corner. Free laundry service! 1 washer drier and costs $1 for soap. Lending library is terrible! Some games available. Free computer-was able to print board pass. Pleasant front desk staff and maids.

Room Tip: room 216 quiet but has other issues mentioned above

Stayed for business, but had chance to try out pool, was great. No complaints. Clean, good location, nice staff, super comfy beds, excellent breakfast, fast internet. We had zero issues, would stay there again. Went horseback riding at NW Stables, amazing. Rented a Harley Davidson motorcycle from EagleRider, amazing. Hotel is not fancy or anything, but clean and has an old school feel about it.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and reasonably priced. Bathrooms are being remodeled, but no impact on cleanliness. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good, not a lot of low-carb or low-fat options, but a splurge every once in a while is okay. Fresh waffles were lovely with fresh berries and whipped cream. Coffee was good and we are fussy about that. We will stay again when traveling.

Room Tip: Pool side may be better, the view out our window was kind of sad. But we slept well.
