Such a warm and beautiful aesthetic. First-time visitor. New favourite place. Check out the art, have a drink in the bar, listen to local musicians. Interesting group of people gathered there, too, which makes for a great evening when on the road.

We regularly stay at The Heathman when in Portland. It is consistent in service and attentiveness to guest, from the doorman, to check in, to turn down service. The Marble Bar is a great gathering and conversation spot and The Library is special place to visit and peruse the collection of books and authors who have actually stayed at The Heathman. We will be back!

Room Tip: Make sure to select the mattress of choice, we usually select temperpedic and missed that on this tr...

Dear Wes P,

Thank you for continuing to choose the Heathman when you travel up to Portland! We strive to make every step of our guest's stay comfortable and inviting. We appreciate your kind words and for taking the time to write such a wonderful review!
We are also so pleased that you made use of our Library and Marble Bar! Next time you will have to join us for the Live Jazz in the Tea Court Lounge...
In the future, or upon your next booking, make sure to remind your Personal Concierge of your preference for the Tempurpedic mattress. It's quite simple for us to add that to your returning guest profile!

Take care,
Krissy S

Have stayed at the Heathman Hotel many times and it never disappoints. Sent ahead a few requests for the room and it was ready for me when I arrived, no questions asked! The rooms are beautiful and the beds are luxurious and comfortable. What is best about the Heathman is that is has the trendy vibe of Portland while still being classic and elegant. Also love the L'Occitaine ammenities in the room! Great bar, restaurant and location too!

The king suite was gigantic. It has a separator between the living room and the bedroom. The living room itself contains a large entry way with a desk, mini bar and fridge, sofa and table. The bed and pillows are extremely soft. My reason for the deduction of the one star was due to: dissapointing tiny bathroom and the starburst on the headboard made an annoying rattling noise when the AC is on and was unstable.

The Heathman is a nive boutique hotel with great service. The initial room I had was a bit small with a funky odor so I asked for another room. They upgraded me to a suite without me asking for an upgrade....very nice guesture. The restaurant was also tasty. The only downfall is that the walls are thin. I was awoken to TV from the room next to mine.

The rooms are spacious and beautffully appointed and the public spaces are elegant but intimte, there is a library with many fine books. Nick Russo

My wife and I, along with some friends, came to town to see Jackie Evancho at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and decided on the Heathman, mainly due to proximity to the venue (right next door...literally). Our 2-night stay was the best hotel experience we've ever had.....charm, comfortable accommodations, ambiance, fine dining and customer service (with a smile) that didn't quit. Even a wonderful chocolate shop on the premises. And the experience didn't leave the pocketbook as empty as one might think....what a bargain. We'll, now, look for excuses to visit Portland again.

Room Tip: Looking for a great suite with all the comforts at home (actually...probably more...)? The Heathman...
