We needed a room for guests in downtown Portland. Don't be worried about the low price: This hotel is close to everything, just a block from Powell's Books, about two blocks from Whole Foods, and on the street car line. Our guests raved about their comfortable queen bed, the hosted wine-and-beverages in the lobby from 5-6 pm, and the morning breakfast. They appreciated the free in-room wireless internet and the free printer in the lobby. Their room was small but it had a fully stocked kitchenette and a usable dining table. Service at the front desk was excellent. We will send our future guests to the Mark Spencer.
