Description: Brasada Ranch is an expansive 1,800 acre resort named "Oregon's Best Destination Resort" by The Oregonian and is ranked #1 on Conde Nast Traveler's Best Resorts in the Pacific Northwest. Range Restaurant and Bar is proud to showcase the Bounty of Oregon - from partner farms, ranches, orchards, creameries and wineries. The menus emphasize this long-term commitment to the seasonal, organic, sustainable practices of farmers throughout Central Oregon and the state. Rather than a specific cuisine, Range creates a living, breathing menu that focuses on seasonality, and preparing dishes that bring out the local, true flavors from the weekly bounty. The food at Range Restaurant and Bar is as extraordinary as the view. From the expansive windows, guests take in world-class views of the Cascade Peaks including the Three Sisters, Broken Top and Mt. Jefferson. Nightly sunsets afforded by this dramatic backdrop are just the beginning of the show.

We stayed at Brasada Ranch and decided to eat at the Range. It turns out that that night was a Barbecue with a beer tasting. As we arrived they made you pay upfront and put a wrist band on you to show that you paid. They charge $40.00 per person plus tip. They had different tables set up with a different beer at each table. I am not a beer drinker so I did not even partake. There was no option to not have the beer included. The first table was chicken with a slaw. The chicken was not even done. The next table was port country ribs. Again not even done. You had to be a canine to get any of the meat off the bone. Another table had smaller baby backs and yet again not done. There was also brisket that you were able to eat but way over cooked. The sides were potato salad made from different colored small potatoes, hush puppies, and creamed corn. The dessert was a berry cobbler that was not bad. The Range is a beautiful place looking at the mountains. It is a shame the food had to be so bad.

Went to the opening weekend of the season for the Range Restaurant and was very pleased. Steak dinners were great, appetizers were fun and delicious and the meals were very well presented. Views, particularly at sunset were spectacular. The weekend we were there our meals were marred by other peoples brats, but that's not the restaurant's fault.

Food was phenomenal, reasonably priced. Gorgeous setting, and enjoyed getting to know Dottie and sitting by the fire.

The restaurant here is amazing. We went for Mother's Day Brunch and were so impressed. They do a great job melding the flavors and the location is peaceful with a great view of the mountains.
