The room was very nice, but on the small side. Were a little surprised at the price, considering this town is in the middle of nowhere. Right near a good restaurant. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfie. There was a little room where you turned on the coffeemaker in the morning--had a frig and micro there, as well as a patio to go sit outside and have your morning coffee. Very nice!

This Hotel is a wonderful surprise to anyone traveling in the Eastern Oregon area of the Strawberry Mountains. The exterior of the building doesn't indicate the modern updates of the rooms. The lobby is furnished in the historic style of the era when the Hotel was built (1905), but the rooms are extremely clean and throughly modernized with lovely bathroom fixtures and comfortable beds that rival rooms in Portland. There is a community kitchen that has everything you need but feels like a step back in time. The kitchen opens onto a patio area that's great for enjoying your morning coffee. We loved the small town feel of Prairie City. If you're in the area, it's worth a side trip to spend the night here,
