“Great food, but poor service”

Six of us decided to have breakfast there a couple of Sundays ago. I'm not sure if our waitress was new or just mad about something. We had to ask several times for refills on our water and we finally had to go to another table that had left their carafe and get coffee from it. We had to wait for over 30 minutes just for our breakfast. When it finally arrived 3 of the breakfasts were cold and we had to send them back for a zap in the microwave. The meals were obviously done several minutes ago, but our waitress just didn't seem to care enough to go check on them.

Went there for a Rotary meeting. Good lunch and admired the views of the mountains, snow capped, from the clubhouse. The course looked excellent.

Juniper is a well laid out and well maintained course. We play here a couple times per year but not usually at the peak of the season unless we can get a really early tee time. Pace of play sometimes suffers due to the popularity of this course but it's an easy walk and a decent course to play. The scenery is typical 'central Oregon golf course' and since I'm here all year it doesn't stand out. There are prettier courses, easier courses and harder courses, all within an hour drive.

Juniper golf course is, by far, one of the best courses in the state. When I play a course, the things that I look at are conditioning and layout. The conditioning of this course is perfect. The greens are fast, PGA tour fast and perfect. The layout is a desert styled course that has a slight heathland-links feel to it. Several holes have risk-reward options that make the round alot of fun. The fairways, tee-boxes are in great shape regardless of the season. Bunkers are always raked prior to play with nice beach sand. During your round, the views on the course with the Three Sisters Mountains in the background make for a great picture with your playing partners. After the round, make sure to enjoy a beverage or sandwich in the View. They have a great bar and awesome patio to enjoy drinks and food. Service, staff and course = A+

Course in good shape, I am a 12 index. Played green tees, usual slow play for a public course. Got great rate @ $44 m-w good scenic camera shot from hole 4 or 5. Not a bad public course for the area. At that price would definitely play again.
