Hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. They have a nice indoor pool and hot tub. We were the only ones to use the pool/hot tub area the night we were there, so it really quiet and peaceful. Also the location for traveling North was about 20 minutes to Woodburn for the Premium Factory Outlet stores.

I needed a decent but inexpensive place to stay for a night while working the Salem Holiday Market. While not the cheapest place to stay in Salem, I knew I'd find a reliably decent room with Comfort Inn. I reserved and received a room with a single queen bed for $75. What I didn't realize is that it meant I would be sleeping next to the elevator. It wasn't as bad as I feared when I got there -- I didn't really notice any noise from the elevator itself. Other guests, however, were less considerate as they waited for the elevator.

I didn't notice any freeway noise that some other reviewers complained about.

The bed was good quality and very comfortable. The room itself was well furnished and attractive. The bathroom was clean. The bath tub itself badly needs refinishing or replacing. Breakfast was okay but I've had better offerings at other Choice Hotels.

Doreen really paid attention to provide me with a room away from the elevator. 419 was on par with several 4 star places in the past. Heat worked well, very comfortable bed, great shower, and very clean.

Noise however is debatable, as the thin windows (although nice) allowed too much outside noise from the access road below. This room was far enough from the highway, no noise heard from there.

Breakfast was great, fresh eggs, scrambled eggs, yogurt, cereal, mini muffins, fresh waffles, juice, coffee, etc.

If in Salem, would definitely stay here again. I should have tried the heated indoor pool, forgot my bathing shorts.

Flipped a coin to make the choice to stay here. We were not disappointed. The staff was GREAT. The king bed was very comfortable. The room was clean & we didn't have any problem with road noise. Big selection for breakfast, including hot foods. As we were on a road trip we only stayed the one night so were not able to check out any of the amenities.

Room tip: Stay away from the freeway side roads if possible, and take an upper level if quiet is important.
