We just got back from doing a round of college tours. The staff at this university were very friendly and knowledgeable. With this tour we saw the whole campus including a dorm room. Definitely a small school with about 2,000 undergrad students. Beautiful campus.
This campus, is covered in old growth Trees, and lush lawns. Centered right in the heart of downtown...makes its convenient for students everything within walking distances. Beautiful to stroll and admire the old buildings as well.
I worked in the Springer Memorial garden when I attended graduate school at the University, way way back in the 1990s!! I remember with great fondness the various gardens and the work the staff put in to make it both a learning and beautiful experience. It was nice to pop by a few weeks ago when in town and saw it is still a lovely garden.
Attended a one day conference and used the law school lecture hall, it easy on the eye, has great acoustics and comfotable seating.
Willamette University is a campus that naturally catches the eye of anyone traversing State Street in Salem. It's beauty and manored majesty are set apart.
I had the pleasure of being toured around the university and it was magical. There was wildlife roaming around, nutria(?), big gopher looking creatures, birds, etc. Truly a gem of place in Salem.
