“A couple of small errors but an otherwise fantastic meal.”
Reviewed 4 September 2014 via mobile

We ate here for the first time because they had a lot of great reviews. The menu was impressive and the service was good. The American Kobe beef coullotte steak was unbelievably good as we're the sea scallops. We tried a small serving of their smokey mac & cheese (get it with added mushrooms)...wow! Unfortunately, the deliciously flavored blackened salmon was overcooked. Also, the chocolate lava cake was served so cold that the lava had turned to stone. The staff was great and took all of our desserts off the bill. When we come back to Salem we will definitely come back to Robert's Crossing!

“Dinner Date”
Reviewed 3 September 2014

Great menu, super service, and awesome environment, We go out often and find that Roberts Crossing is a nice place to get a romantic meal and good food and wine. One of my favorites, as its out of the hustle and bustle of the city and always have had great service. That's what keeps us coming back!

“Worth Going Back for Drinks & Appetizers”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

In search of a new "date night" place my husband and I finally tried Roberts Crossing. We asked to sit on the patio and were happily accommodated. Our server Ryan was prompt to greet us, was very friendly and familiar with the menu and specials. Our entire meal service was wonderful with just the right amount of check-ins from the staff.

Although not hungry enough for appetizers, the pulled pork fries are going to have to be a must to try on our next visit. Wonderfully crisp on the outside, fluffy in the middle baguette bread is served warm with a great soft butter while we waited on our meals.

Meals are entrée only, so a soup or salad accompaniment is an extra ($3-$4). Prices range from $16 for pasta dishes up to $30 or so for other protein dishes. My husband chose the spicy Cajun fettucine and was offered mild, medium or spicy. He chose spicy. It was presented in a tomato base and he said the heat for him was okay but he would ask for extra spicy next time. I chose the seafood fettucine in an alfredo sauce. It was very rich and creamy, lots of parmesan and a few shrimp, scallops and wonderful fresh fish. The sauce was a little on the soupy side but not a complete deal breaker.

The restaurant is nestled in a beautiful setting, but sitting outside there is traffic noise as it sits very close to the street. Inside is very quaint and looks like a good place for a romantic evening. There is also one large table to accommodate a bigger party. We are looking forward to going back and just relaxing in the bar (we didn't check it out but has a separate entrance in the back if you don't want to go through the main entrance) and enjoying a cocktail and some appetizers. Atleast it is something different from the norm in Salem.

“Absolutely delightful”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

Upon arrival, Peyton immediately greeted us with a genuine smile, and quickly seated us to a quaint table for two. Allie soon followed to take drink orders, announce the specials and placed fresh ice cold water on our table. After ordering, we noticed the unique style of this petite restaurant with design features that accent conversational privacy and enhanced a more cozy dining experience. I had the special, which was cod, and my wife had the American Kobe steak with fingerling potatoes. The food arrived promptly, and we were attended to frequently, and again with a genuine greeting. The food flavors and spices intermingled into a wonderful entree with nothing left for a to-go box. The meal finished with a covertly ordered creme brulee which was to perfection. It is rather refreshing to go to a restaurant who know how to do business. Bravo Roberts Crossing!
