This little bistro is such a gem in Salem. It is our go-to place whenever we can score some babysitting for the night. We've never left disappointed. Salads and main courses are consistently good and a perfectly portioned. By no means too much, but I always leave feeling full/satisfied. The specialty cocktails are yummy! I get the Dalmatian every time. The service is always excellent. The price point is reasonable. The atmosphere is really the most unique in Salem. It's darkish, got a vintage charm and overall has a really great feel. I'm a New York girl at heart and this place reminds me of a bistro you might find tucked into the West Village.

We had the salmon with beet risotto and chicken with pesto pasta for the main, and a watermelon salad to start, lemon custard for desert and the drinks were truly outstanding. They make them strong and tasty. All for under $100 for two. great price and good quality.

This is not a place for quiet conversation. Tables are so close together that there turned out to be lots of conversations between tables--fun in a sort of "Cheers" way, but that would be disconcerting to some diners! Live music was pretty unexciting music-wise and also contributed to the general noise level (any applause was generated by staff!). We thought the food was good enough that we will come back. The long bar with stools is attractive. Someone in an earlier review had labeled this a wine bar, and it is definitely not that--the wine list (on a small blackboard) is tiny and not particularly well-chosen, in my opinion. The focus seems to be cocktails rather than wine. The general feel in this very attractive space is friendly and very different from most Salem restaurants--you will love it or hate it.

We ended up here when the restaurant we planning on going to was closed. What a great find. The rissotto was near perfect...the seafood stew fresh and tasty...and the salad so large the 4 of us could have easily shared it.

We went for a birthday celebration and had high hopes for this new place. The crowd was good, but very noisy due to the high ceiling. Good place for appetizers and drinks with friends, but not so good for dining experience. The risotto was good, but the special pasta dish was mediocre, bland and had so many items infused it just didn't work. Sorry Maven - may try again!
