“Fabulous experience!”
Reviewed 8 September 2013

We were thrilled with our stay! Just across the "boardwalk" from the sand, this almost seemed out of place in this community. Had all of the amenities that a family could want, including a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and two full bathrooms. Also had a barbeque on our patio with a view of the ocean. Can't wait to stay again!

This was our first trip to Seaside with our five and six year old kids. There were four adults and two kids in total. We stayed from August 11-15. The resort is located right on the beach and great amenities. We stayed in room #6610 which was a deluxe 2-bedroom with partial view of the ocean. It was well equipped for the most part. Our suite didn't have a kettle for a nice hot cup of tea during the cool evenings but we made due. In addition, for the price you pay, the suites need updating. It is over 10 years old and requires new carpets and updated furniture.

The wait for the elevator was a little frustrating at times because they only have one main elevator to the lobby. There is a second elevator that takes you to the parking garage and games room which we figured out a day or so later.

Secondly, it took about three hours to get some extra towels as we had six people staying in the suite and only had enough towels for four. The front desk kept calling every half hour to see if we received the towels which got frustrating as our kids were sleeping at 10:00pm.

However, the amenities make up for any shortfalls. We loved the heated pool and two hot tubs. Also, the kids loved the games room. Their favorite were air hockey and ping pong. Morning and evening coffee/tea was always ready and great especially on those cool evenings.

We ate in a few times, but went out for dinner a couple of times. Our favorite place was Norma's! We had some great crab meals and it was very reasonably priced. There was also a 10% coupon in the hotel lobby to use. Norma's also gives 20% discount to police and military which is a big thumbs up in my books! Also, try the key lime pie. It's simply one of the best pies that I have ever had!

Overall, we were very happy with our experience at WorldMark. No high pressure time-share sales. I think we got one call asking us to attend an information breakfast.

We will be back.

We had a VERY disappointing stay. Every time we were in Seaside prior, we thought it would be wonderful to stay here, since it looked very nice and had so many amenities.

First of all, there is less service than you would find at a budget motel. We stayed for 10 days, and in that time we were informed that the room would not be cleaned once (and if you would like to clean it yourself, you must purchase your own cleaning supplies). Also, you are required to take out your own trash and place it in a horrible smelling trash room. For paying almost $250, that is ridiculous.

Lastly, children and teens are all over the amenities. It is almost impossible to enjoy them. We tried to take advantage of "adult swim" twice, and each time the pool was filled with teenagers. The second time, these teenagers were drinking and talking about who they were going to sleep with that night. NOT what I want to listen to while enjoying a swim. We brought all this to the attention of the staff who were "monitoring" the pool, and nothing was done.

This place may look nice, but there are plenty of real 5 star resorts on the coast charging a similar rate, or you could pay half the price anywhere in Seaside and have a cleaner space, better service, and more attentive staff.

Thank you for your review. We are so sorry to hear about your disappointing stay. Our goal is to make each guest feel at home with a kitchen and laundry. Because we have condo-style resorts, certain "hotel" amenities such as daily housekeeping and concierge do not exist. We strive to provide this information to the guest through our website, pre-arrival letter and confirmation letter. We apologize for any confusion and will work to better communicate this through additional channels in the future. We are sorry for your experience and greatly value your feedback.

Stayed in a 3 bedroom with a party of 5. Having a grille on the balcony was great and we used it every day. Resort is on the beach, but it was cloudy and cool every day that we were there. Plenty to do onsite and within walking distance.

Things not so great was that the customer service desk called us every day, at least once per day to ask if we were enjoying our room. One time, they called at 10pm. They only closed the pool for an hour after someone pooped in it. We avoided all pools/spas after seeing that. It's a noisy resort. Built in a U shape, all the noise from the pools gets trapped and if you open a window, you can't hear the TV in your room.

Friendly staff, great location! But what I like most about this Worldmark is the proximity to the beach, it's right THERE!!! Of course, I was usually wearing a sweatshirt when I was going for a walk along the beach but that's the nature of the beast!

On a recent trip to California, my wife and I decided to detour out to the Oregon coat to stay at the WorldMark Seaside. What a great choice.

This is a great place for a romantic get away from it all. Seaside is a typical coastal town. Focused on the beach and what a beach. We spent hours walking the beach, watching the waves, listening to nature.

The resort itself is nice, but I must admit all I really saw was the beach, the strip and our room. The town and location is so interesting, who would stay around the resort.

There was the typical annoyance of WorlMark, when you get your parking pass, they want to sell you more Timeshare. Luckily I had a business call so I could not talk, so they just had to give me my parking pass. Note to self, take a phone call while checking in at all WorldMarks. Avoid the Timeshare sales pitch.

We were in a room on the North side of the building outside. Right next to the Shilo Inn sign. It flashed and blinked all night. This was very frustrating. (It would be worse for Shilo Inn guests as it is closer to them.) Next time we will request either an inside room or South or East wing. Do not stay outside room North Wing.

Room Tip: Avoid North side outside rooms.

Seven story condo. Well maintained and managed; very clean. In the heart of Seaside waterfront with most or all rooms having ocean view from their deck. Only downside is cookie cutter rooms looking out on dozens of similar rooms. But overall a very good place to stay.
