We stopped by Camp 18 for breakfast. I had the Camp 18 Omelet and wife had a waffle with blueberries. Both were prepared and presented in a very good manner. Wife could hardly find her waffle it was covered with some many blueberries. Serve was quick. Décor is quite nice - lot's of old pictures showing the logging history of the area. Interesting use of logging tools for door handles.

This roadside restaurant along Highway 26 about an hour west of Portland was the perfect breakfast spot on our way for a day of sightseeing along the Oregon coastline. Other reviews have criticized the attitudes of the hostess and wait staff, and while I could detect some of that, our waitress was very friendly.

The interior is rustic, almost log cabin. Indeed, the restaurant is encircled by an outdoor logging museum, which is worth a gander time permitting. There's a gift shop, and various decor for picture taking outside the restaurant. Parking is plentiful.

The breakfast portions were HUGE and the prices relatively reasonable. Their special is their cinnamon rolls, but beware: one is good for a table of three. The pancakes are delicious and served with both maple and maidenberry syrups. The biscuits and gravy aren't the best I've had (being from North Carolina), but they were good and very filling. Try to score a back window table to view the creek out back along with the birds that fly up to the deck area. After this meal, we didn't need any lunch at all.

We've stopped a couple of times in the past and have had a so so experience but this must be a new chef or cook!
My friends prawn and chips platter were so over fried it was inedible. The beef stew was a joke where's the beef!! Gravy and overcooked veggies and that was it!!
The logs were in need of dusting and overall a total cleaning of the place.

stopped on the way from portland airport to the coast, on the advice of a local we met on the flight from atlanta. An unlikely place to find on the main road to cannon beach and seaside. A miniture version of the Old faithful lodge in Yellowstone. A lovely welcome, good food,(large portions), Beautiful surroundings, huge fire, fabulous smell of wood and food. A truly atmospheric experience. Don't miss it.

It is located 18 miles from Seaside, OR and about 1 hour west of Portland.
It use to be a wood mill in the 1800 and there are a lot of artifacts from that
era. It's a very good restaurant with large portions but it actually tastes great.
Get the cinnamon roll to go it's the size of a dinner plate but worth it. There
is a self guided museum, which if you have time it's worth going through.
It's a nice stop for pets and humans alike! Go there you will NOT be disappointed.
