We started our trip from Portland and arrived in Seaside in the evening, We were able to get a room on the ground floor facing the ocean. Sweet!! Right on the promenade walkway and a minute to the beach. Room was very well kept. Staff were friendly and room was comfortable. The pool and hottub were inviting. This location was a great start to an awesome trip!

Room Tip: Ground Floor room has easiest access to the promenade boardwalk

We stayed at the Best Western Ocean View in Seaside for July 4, 2012. First impression is that the hotel is clean but a little tired looking. I paid top dollar for a room with a balcony facing the sea but the room we were given on the 4th floor had its view to the south blocked by the wall of the room next to ours. The whole reason why we splurged on a ocean front room was to secure a good view of the fireworks show for the 4th (just south of the hotel). Hotel staff member Mark was responsive to my complaint. He upgraded us to a corner room on the 5th floor, south side of the hotel. The second room was perfect as it had a clear view of the show from the balcony but also from a side window over the bed - great for little kids. Mark also comped us free breakfast. All in all, I was pleased.

Room Tip: If you want a good view of the fireworks, request a front- corner room on the south.

Thank you for the kind words about Mark and the hotel. I am glad we were able to resolve the problem with the view. Thanks for taking the time to write.

I believe all positive reviews are coming from the hotel staff themselves. We found this to be a hotel in need of renovations. I travel alot and am executive member of most hotel chains. Definitely not worth the price, and staff don't help any.

I am sorry you found the hotel to be less than satisfactory. The hotel's guestrooms and hallways were renovated in the last 18 months. I can assure you that all of the photos advertising and displaying the hotel are current and real. In addition, our hotel staff do not write positive reviews for the hotel as stated. We can take great pride in the service we offer and we failed you. I apologize and hope you will give us another opportunity.

This was a great hotel to stay at, but very pricey! It was the 4 th of July so it was really our fault for not booking in advance in Seaside, OR. The staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and stocked. We had a great 4th of July!

Room Tip: Pick a room with a view of the beach!

We recently stayed at the Best Western Ocean View in Seaside (June 24th - 29th) and found it a great hotel for the money. Our room was on the 5th floor. We had an ocean view out our window but no balcony. The room was very quiet and clean. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The restaurant was nice, but the bar closed too early....usually by 9:00 or 10:00. The hotel sits right on the beach and is close to everything. We would definately stay here again and would recommend it to our friends and family.

Room Tip: Pick a room on the upper floors if you want a good view of the ocean. The view from the first two fl...

This was a very clean and nice Best Western. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Had a great restaurant and full bar. All rooms have a fabulous view of the ocean and nice balconies. Right on the Prom and just a few short blocks to Main street. We would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Although our room was classified as 'ocean view', it has a great view of the ocean while not...

We checked in June 1st and left June 3rd and the man who was working at the front desk treated us terrible! He was rude and seemed to think he was better then anyone else! Not helpful! Not friendly! And when we asked where the Carousel mall was he had no idea and come to find out it was only a short walk away! A friend of mine stayed there as well last weekend and I warned her about this man and she texted me when she got home and said he was rude to them as well and other guests that were checking in/out..I only wish I got his name and I am wondering if the GM who responds to these reviews actually does anything about that? I am sure he can look at the schedule and see who it was by my check in dates..he needs a talking to about not treating guests so bad!! Also wish they posted on their website it was a saltwater pool and it's FREEZING!!

I am very sorry about the treatment you received from one of our associates. Both myself and the General Manager care deeply about our guests and the service and quality we deliver. I am truly sorry about the "dry sense of humor" one of our clerks exhibited and I guarantee that this will not recur. This is not the way we practice hospitality. I hope you will return.
