If you go for luxury accommodations, this is not the place for you. But it is cute and quaint and is just a short walk to the beach. The rooms aren't furnished with iron, ironing board, or hair dryer, but all you have to do is ask and the front desk and they will get these items for you. I loved sleeping with the window open for the cool breezes and being able to hear the ocean waves breaking on the shore. I also liked the fact that the Inn was not located in the busy downtown area but on a quiet avenue. It was easily accessible. Everything was very clean and well kept. I would definitely stay here again.

Beth, thanks for leaving such a fun review. Isn't listening to the ocean as you go to bed so cool? I love it too. Hope to see you again soon!

You can still see the origins of this classic Motel but it has been brilliantly adapted for the modern traveller. Our room was nicely furnished with an assortment of classic lamps and a cast iron bedstead. The gentleman on reception was charming, efficient and informative.

The Inn is excellently situated a short walk from the beach and opposite a small, family run supermarket and a pleasant tavern - both of which we availed ourselves of.

We were looking for last minute hotels, not knowing there was a car show the weekend we had planned on visiting, and the ONLY room available was the amazing Jacuzzi suite. We were concerned at the beginning because neither of us had good luck with smaller non commercial hotels/motels, but as soon as we walked in, the gentleman at the front desk was awesome - great energy, very knowledgable and very funny. He suggested a bunch of places to visit, and we immediately took his advice. He was spot on there as well.

When we walked in the room we were pleasantly surprised - it was beautiful! We absolutely loved the room, and obviously we love the staff - and now we refuse to stay anywhere else in Seaside. My best friend will be visiting you within the next month. Thanks for an amazing weekend.

-Cyrus

Room Tip: The jacuzzi suite is amazing!

We found this hotel on Tripadvisor. After calling 4 or 5 other places, this one had the best deal - $66 + tax (after a 10 percent discount that they gave us). The room was clean and cozy, we had a good night of sleep. We went for a run in the morning - there is a great walkway near the ocean that goes for about 1.5 miles.
There location is good, little walk from a downtown but you can really enjoy the walk being so close to the ocean.
And the guy at the reception desk was super friendly and helpful.

So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. The Promenade is a great place for taking a run - next time you visit, head in the opposite direction to the Cove - great view! We'd love to see you again.

My wife and I recently stayed at the property for several days on vacation, and there are a lot of positives to the Inn but also one negative which is hard to live with.

The rooms are really unique, and you can tell some thought went into the design of the hotel. The beds were comfortable with nice linens, towels, and generally comfortable if a bit small. The staff was very friendly, and the area is great with the local sandwich/soup/coffee shop just up the street becoming our morning favorite.

The main issue we had was that when someone was staying above us, which happened 2 of our 4 nights, we could hear everything. And I mean EVERYTHING at 12:30 in the morning with "adult" activities going on upstairs. You can also make out voices as people are talking, and generally it sounds like a parade going on upstairs whenever someone walks around. This was one night, on our last night it was similar with new occupants but not as bad.

The tv was a bit dated, with the remote not always working, but not a major issue for us. I don't know what can be done to reduce the amount of noise from room to room, but I would recommend looking into options.

Room Tip: Pick a 2nd level floor.

Thanks so much for staying with us. I'm sorry to hear the neighbors above you were a bit noisy - that's no fun! The tip you left about staying in an upstairs room was a good one. We are so glad you enjoyed most of your stay with us and really hope to see you again soon.

The Inn is economical, friendly and welcoming. It does not have the "rubber stamp" feel of motel chains. The room is small, cozy and clean. The choice of room themes for our stay was a unique experience. The beach is a very short walk from the Inn. It was not crowded and provided plenty of room for your own little piece of solitude.
