In October we had 2 of our adult children, along with their spouses, come to visit so we planned a night for them at Sandy Cove Inn. We have stayed there 3 times and wanted them to have that coastal experience. This time they got the kids room which worked out bed wise because another daughter went with them...so 2 full size and one single size beds worked! They LOVED...LOVED...LOVED the room and the total atmosphere of the inn. The Sandy Cove Inn has turned out to be our family inn. Oh, the kids loved going to the aquarium and the boardwalk while in Seaside and then headed up to Astoria.

I have stayed at the Sandy Cove Inn at least 5 times now. It is my go-to hotel on the coast. I love it because it is always very clean and inviting, and has more personality than most other seaside hotels put together! The hotel itself is a mere two blocks from the beach, with a small grocery store and pub directly across the street. It's got everything you want. My only issue is that I could hear the person in the room next to me snoring, but I've never had that experience before. Maybe it was the powerful snore and not the thickness of the walls that was the problem. :)

Room Tip: The vintage game room is amazing.

We stayed at the Sandy Cove Inn for two nights and was thoroughly satisfied. It's more Motel than Hotel, but the reception area and rooms have been thoroughly updated and are clean, clean, clean. On top of being clean, the rooms don't feel like a motel. The beds are very comfortable and the amenities are nicely done. Our room, Gertrude, had a little kitchenette which was a surprise and very welcome. The location is great and on the quiet side of Seaside. We clocked it and it's exactly a 1 mile walk/drive from the hotel to Broadway (essentially downtown Seaside). You can either walk the whole way down the Prom or pick a lovely residential street. We took our dog and he was given a cute bowl and treat upon arrival - so sweet. The only draw back is because it's an old motel motor lodge, the rooms are not very quiet. You do hear other guests moving about and talking as they are walking by. It wasn't a huge distraction, but something people ought to know. We will certainly be staying there again, especially because we can take our dog and he did NOT come home with fleas and the room did NOT smell of dog. Thank you Sandy Cove Inn.

Room Tip: We loved the Gertrude room....it had a small kitchenette. I don't know what the other rooms had.

Awesome, awesome hotel. Off the beaten path in Seaside, so you're away from the touristy hustle and bustle of Broadway, but close enough to get to it easily (i.e. walk) if that's your thing. Mike has a great list of places to eat in the area (the only thing missing are breakfast suggestions - which Mike actually has, just on a separate page that we didn't get!). Rooms are awesomely appointed with neat decorative pieces. We stayed in the Wave Room, which had a cool broken surfboard with a neat story written on it (hope it's true!). Big pluses (in addition to the awesome hospitality): you're extremely close to the beach, right across from a bar with a good beer selection if you get bored at night, and a good VHS selection for some nostalgia points. If/when I'm ever back in Seaside I will definitely return.

Room Tip: Wave room was awesome!

LOVED this quaint little hotel! The themed rooms are pretty fun on there own, but throw in the service you get from the staff as well- fantastic! We've stayed in a few different rooms when staying here and they're all great. My favorite of course- the Jacuzzi Suite. Very tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable, and private. Wish we could've stayed longer! Debbie, the onsite manager, is a real sweetheart too. We've felt right at home coming to stay here. We will most definitely stay here again as well as recommending this little gem to others. Thank you Sandy Cove Inn for such a memorable last visit in particular. You guys are great! We'll be back!
