Great Food and great service. Be prepared for tight quarters since that is part of the fun.
Our lunches were sandwiches with a cup of soup and salads. Salads were so healthy and still great.

“Great Spot!”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

Lunch here one day was so good, the staff so friendly and welcoming, the tiny restaurant so inviting that our group returned the next night for dinner. As luck would have it, a young brother/sister guitar and violin duo played over dinner and their Celtic-flavored music was wonderful.
Our server, Chelsea, was friendly, professional and made excellent menu suggestions. Their soups were wonderful (so I'm told; they ran out before I got any) and the whole range of entrees we tried, from the salmon to flatbreads to the whole grain salad were beautifully prepared and presented. The beer and wine list is extensive for such a small place. While not inexpensive, Open Door's prices are moderate and quite reasonable.
Being a Monday night when many Sisters restaurants are closed, Open Door was something of a gathering spot for locals, which we tourists enjoyed.
We are all looking forward to our next visit.

“Lovely Dining Experience”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

We really enjoyed our meal on the flower-filled patio with mellow, live music. The owner was our server and she was helpful, warm and cordial. We shared a beautiful beet and arugula salad which generously fed three. We had the vegetable bolognese with spaghetti and the salmon. Both delicious although I prefer my salmon rare to medium, not well done. Great evening and we would definitely return.

“Pleasant atmosphere, good food, but s-l-o-w service”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

I've had lunch here twice in the past few months, once with one companion and once in a group of four. Both times everyone loved the food. The menu isn't extensive, but the choices are all inviting, and making a decision is tough. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and prompt to greet, seat, and take the order. Then the wait begins. Both times we waited between 30-40 minutes for lunch to arrive at our table. It's relatively simple fare--soups, sandwiches, and salads--so it's hard to understand what takes so long. If you have great company and conversation, not a big deal, but I would pick a different restaurant (there are tons to choose from) if you are short on time.

“Very relaxing - nice idea”
Reviewed 4 June 2014 via mobile

Nice and relaxing .. A break from typical shops and restaurants in Sisters. A comfortable garden atmosphere or small bar venue, this is a very good idea. Different types of seating, but more adult oriented. Our server was great and kept checking on us, even though she was quite busy. Service is relaxed, so be aware that you will have plenty of time to enjoy your wine before your food. The salad we ordered was very good and hit the spit for a light lunch. I have but one comment, and that us the size of the wine pour for the price... We had the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc - excellent and so cold... But a little more would be nicer. We were afternoon visitors, but I think dinner would be very nice also.
