“Great family trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

So random, but Sisters was actually our destination. It's kind of a tough drive from Boise, longer than I remembered, but Sisters is cute and was a fun little spring break. We stayed at the Ponderosa Lodge, which has a hot tub and some llamas that you can feed. Great free breakfast. Sisters has a cute movie theater, some great/good restaurants and some spectacular waterfalls just outside town. Spring Break was probably too early to go. It was cold and rainy. Sahalie and Koosah Falls are nicest in spring-ish weather. Deer on property in the morning.

Great to hear from you "melloone" regarding your stay in March of this year! At least it was warmer this year for the spring break! The falls are amazing, to bad McKenzie Pass is not open until late June. That is quite the experience in the winter on snowshoes, cross country skiis, or better yet - snowmobile. Appreciate the review! Paul Haggerty, General Manager 541-549-1234 or 38103@hotel.bestwestern.com

A quality place to stay and I have stayed here several times over the year. It is pet friendly and quiet. The only negative was that when I reserved my room I was told that the more expensive room was the only room availalbe, however, when we arrived the "VACANCY" light was lite and was on all night lng... The room was very nice and clean and maybe they had a large cancelation, but it seemed a little questionable.

Thank you Brian M for staying with us again and writing a review. We noted that you made your reservations for 3 rooms on line (2 in April for our regular lodgepole rooms, when they were available, and the 3rd on June 15 when only our suites were available). It is important to remember that people do cancel reservations up to 24 hours in advance of their reservation date, which then opens up rooms for availability. We may be sold out of our rooms several days in advance, yet cancellations and early departures create availability. A good reason to call us direct and get on the waiting list for the room type you want that may be sold out, while reserving the suite to insure you do have a room. I am sorry you felt it was questionable to have our Vacancy sign on to sell the suites we had available the night you stayed.

We are glad you were satisfied with your stay again and looking forward to having you back again! Paul Haggerty, General Manager 541-549-1234 or 38103@hotel.bestwestern.com

The hotel was clean and kept up rather nicely. The room was clean, inviting and roomy enough for a small family. We did not eat the breakfast provided due to lack of options. Check-in was simple and quick as was the check-out. The employees were friendly and the Llamas were fun to watch in the evening. The grounds had a nice large grassy area for children to play. I would recommend staying at this hotel, but I feel the price is a bit much. I have stayed in nicer hotels for less money per night, but still satisfied with the hotel.

Greatly appreciate your taking the time to write a review regarding your recent stay here at the Best Western Ponderosa Lodge for a weekend in June! We are glad you enjoyed your stay, the quality of the Aspen Suite you stayed in, and the friendliness of service from our staff. Do keep in mind you can get better rate deals during the week rather than on the high demand weekends in season. Paul Haggerty, General Manager 541-549-1234 or 38103@hotel.bestwestern.com

Very nice hotel, try to get on 2nd floor. Spacious rooms and vaulted ceilings on 2nd floor. Nice, helpful staff! Trails start right off of the property. Grocery store, mcdonalds right across highway. You can also walk to town, it is really close. The free breakfast is also very nice. Llama herd also right on the property. Rooms are updated and are very nice. A true lodge feeling in the rooms. Well designed and comfortable. Ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

A great hotel with a western theme throughout. Very clean, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, nice variety of free breakfast foods, awesome staff, pretty setting in trees with ample space for pets. Had llamas in pasture next to hotel.

Lovely, friendly hotel among the pine forests and surrounded by mountains and wild life.. Great for our small grandson who could run around safely and see the llamas in the paddock. Big comfy beds and a tasty breakfast included. Had fun at the rodeo. This place is on our favourites list

We've been coming to this motel for years. Always clean and comfortable. The llamas in the yard are always a big hit. And we can walk in the pine trees by the hotel. The pool and hot tub are wonderful. Great, friendly staff. Great breakfast on picnic tables overlooking the llama corral. A wonderful place to relax!
