“food and drinks are very good.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2013

we had dinner one night and the food, service, and drinks are very good. lots of kids the night we were there and the noise was amazing so we basically had to yell at each other to have any conversation. only drawback is the carpet needs a major cleaning.

“Forget Hola Sunriver”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2013

We have eaten at all of their other locations and have enjoyed the food, service and drink. However, this is the second time we've eaten at Hola's Sunriver location and this is the second time it was terrible. We went for a late lunch, around 2pm and were seated immediately. The place was less than half full. We got our chips and salsa immediately along with water. After that the waitress disappeared and we had to go find the manager to find her to place our order. We ordered an appetizer, a salad and two main courses. They arrived in a reasonable amount of time just about when we were finishing our second basket of chips. The appetizer and one of the mains were just fine. The salad and the second main were horrible. Had we not been so hungry, we would have left. The salad (a taco salad with beef) was made with iceberg lettuce and not much else. No flavor. The second main, a Baja Burrito (Flour tortilla filled with your choice of chicken or shredded
beef. Topped with red sauce and Monterey cheese. Served
with rice and beans) had ZERO flavor. Just wrapped, watery, tasteless meat swimming in a tasteless red sauce. The cook forgot to add anything with flavor.
This is the second time we've eaten in the Sunriver location and the second time we've been very disappointed. It is unfortunate since we've always had good meals at the other locations. So if you are hungry and in Sunriver, go get a burger or pizza somewhere. If its decent food you are looking for, forget Hola's in Sunriver.

“Really pretty setting and great drinks”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2013

My family recently ate here for dinner. We had a large group and they were able to accommodate us in a more private side area of the restaurant which was great. The menu is awesome being both Mexican and Peruvian, there were lots of fun options. The drinks here are really amazing - everyone loved them. Many different flavors of mojitos and margaritas. We started with the Ceviche Mexicano as well as the Ceviche Traditional - they were both delicious. The green salsa that they serve is also amazing, I wanted to take it home with me.

I had the sopa de pollo and it wasn't that amazing - it wasn't bad, but compared to the ceviche it wasn't great, the broth was really clear and thin. The Carne Asada was fabulous. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their meals. We were eating with 4 young children and they have a childrens menu to suit little appetites, chicken nuggets with fries etc. The kids enjoyed the churros for dessert.
The service was great. Our waitress was really friendly and helpful with food and drink choices. We loved all of her recommendations.

Just stopped for drinks and a snack...Friendly and fast service. Try to get a seat by the window. We did not have a meal, but they looked good!

“Right on the river, good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2013

Stopped in for a late lunch after rafting on the river and was pleasantly surprised. The food is an unusual mix of Mexican and Peruvian food. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and prices were reasonable for a resort area. The one exception to this statement was my son's paella which made up nearly half the check - ask how much the specials are before ordering! It was nice to look out at the water and rafters/kayakers/canoers while having lunch.
